Understanding nuclear: reactions, radioactivity, waste

Oil, gas, coal, nuclear (PWR, EPR, hot fusion, ITER), gas and coal thermal power plants, cogeneration, tri-generation. Peakoil, depletion, economics, technologies and geopolitical strategies. Prices, pollution, economic and social costs ...

The cloud was certainly safe for France and that is what has been said.
"Cloud / no cloud" is only the summary by binary minds.

We can see on this graph thanks to cesium 137 the ridiculous level of the Chernobyl peak compared to that of the nuclear tests of the 60s:

Taking for reference the only region not affected by the Chernobyl cloud (the Bordeaux region) shows how much of an elite fake and liar!

I understand better the eccentric of some of your posts: your source of information is the weather report.

It was at the time the only source of information that we gave to the French, with the television news.

You return to the load with your weather report!
If you consider that the weather forecast is scientific and political information, and if it is your only source of information we understand that you are little informed, and moreover misinformed on this little.
With your nose glued to the weather forecast, you didn't know anything about Professor Pellerin's reports, I already mentioned this telex to AFP:

DIR SCPRI

Mr. SERGE BERG AFP

THIS DAY 30/4/86 24H. SITUATION IN THE STATIONARY ASSEMBLY.
HOWEVER, ON SOME SOUTHEASTERN STATIONS, WE HAVE A SLIGHT INCREASE IN ATMOSPHERIC RADIOACTIVITY, NOT SIGNIFICANT FOR PUBLIC HEALTH.

PR P PELLERIN DIR SCPRI *
AFP B 210064E
SCPRI Z 696257F
==
This information was taken up by the press ...
For example by ... Christmas Mother! On the 13 p.m. television news, he used the terms of Professor Pellerin's telex: “This morning, the SCPRI announced a slight increase in radioactivity in the air, not significant for public health, in the south-east of France and more especially above Monaco. " This did not stop him from inventing, years later, the fake news, or the fable, of the cloud that stops at the border, in which many French people still believe - because they only watch the weather report.
This fake news cost Noël Mamère a conviction for defamation.
The information was also taken up by the newspapers:
Image
And on other daily newspapers too ...

But with your nose glued to your weather report, you knew nothing about it, and now you are adding disinformation to disinformation by claiming that your famous weather report was "at the time the only source of information that we gave to the French".
No it wasn't the only source ... but you were watching the weather.

The real problem in the West, during the Chernobyl accident, is not that information was hidden, it was given in the West), the problem is that people disseminated false information, panicky information , fake news, which cost tens of thousands of voluntary abortions in central, northern and Balkan Europe.
Misinformation is bad for health.
Misinformation kills.
Those responsible are not guilty ... and they are still running. They are still strutting around on TV, spreading other potentially equally deadly fake news:

"Today, vaccines create more problems than they solve" (Michèle Rivasi - MEP EÉLV)

I hope that we quickly find a vaccine against the new corona virus.

Well yes, necessarily. 1986: No internet. TV and Radio as the only sources of "immediate" information, the newspapers having a delay and providing themselves in the same place to write their papers. How do you know the truth?
As for the sentence of Mamère, pronounced years later, taken out of context and in the first degree, it expressed in substance (and not "word for word") exactly what was claimed at the time on the television news.
Pellerin is a criminal who died without ever being punished.

Ps: "Misinformation is bad for your health.
Disinformation kills. "(Sic) Your trash site does just that: Pure disinformation that you come besides distilling here (and there) with your usual hypocrisy. It's disgusting.

Chernobyl, proofs of the French lie.
While Germany and the Nordic countries protected their populations, France first concealed, then lied and finally minimized the impact of this disaster without EVER taking concrete measures. CRIIRAD was born out of these repeated lies and cover-ups.

Of course, the cloud stopped at the borders of Bordeaux! : roll: And supporting evidence? Any. Gadgetdebois gives his opinion on everything without knowing anything, and insult is his only argument.

It is one of the least affected regions, along with Brittany. Check out the maps and the animation, if you can figure them out. A detail ... "liar" and "faker" are insults?

in any case you have time and energy to redo the 1986 debate on Tcherno :P

This is not just a debate from 1986, but a debate as old as thinking humanity: "how to know?" Is it enough to believe in what you already believe, or humbly accept the verdict of the facts? A debate that the Internet and social networks bring to life, the ease being to seek only those who believe like me, those who strengthen my belief by skipping the facts that contradict it.
I am afraid of being taxed as a pedantic, but it must nevertheless be remembered that this is a central theme in Plato (the truth comes from above), in Aristotle (the truth comes from below), which was not closed. Galileo: truth comes from measure.

The measurement ... And the radioactivity measurements following the Chernobyl accident indicate that it was insignificant in France compared to natural radioactivity, whatever the region.

It is 100% false. Can you look in the mirror after that?

Go back to "Fossil energies: oil, gas, coal and nuclear electricity (fission and fusion)"
