Bingo, Izy!
Yves Brechet:

- Scientific director of the Saint-Gobain company
- On the proposal of the Minister of Higher Education and Research, Yves Bréchet was appointed on September 19, 2012 as a member of the CEA as a person qualified in the scientific and industrial field, High Commissioner for Atomic Energy
- In 2018, he created and chairs the scientific council of Framatome (wiki)

No possible conflicts of interest. "It's (still) under control".

Mindless anti-nuc propaganda.
You don't even listen to his disinterested scientific expert arguments : roll:

Interviewed as a former High Commissioner for Atomic Energy (from 2012 to 2018) who he left on his own. Learn to put your prejudices aside.

I don't understand your slingshot. If we still trust him, it is because we recognize his skills. https://www.grenoble-inp.fr/fr/recherch ... -cahn-2022

In medicine, great skills have been turned into plotters at the end of their careers, but have been denounced by the elite of their peers, such as Professor Montagné or Peronne.

In his case, none of that. If you followed the commission of inquiry which confirmed the incompetence of a certain number of politicians. He does not defend them, quite the contrary.
the sabotage of French sovereignty. The abandonment of the "strategy of closure of the nuclear cycle" which could solve the problem of the resource and the waste at the same time.

His speech is perfectly consensual and pragmatic.
For him, the recommendations made in the report of the parliamentary commission must be followed....

There is no more :

- stop careerist policies and tackle the real problems competently.
- Stop selling off nuclear electricity to have the means to evolve towards resource autonomy and waste management.
- Build renewables only when storage or the controllable equivalent exists and not the cart before the horse...

This Saturday 15/04, shutdown of the last 3 German reactors still in operation (about 4000MW in total).
It was scheduled for 31/12/2022 at the latest (since 2011), but there was a small reprieve linked to uncertainties about the winter energy situation.

For the supply of Germany, it actually corresponds to 4000MW of reduction in margins but I think they still have some under their feet.
On the other hand, that's 4000MW less (all things being equal) in export capacity to neighbors all year round, Germany should see its annual electricity exports drop significantly and in the event of a severe cold snap on the 'Europe is not really going to help.
