Nuclear power continues in the world

Oil, gas, coal, nuclear (PWR, EPR, hot fusion, ITER), gas and coal thermal power plants, cogeneration, tri-generation. Peakoil, depletion, economics, technologies and geopolitical strategies. Prices, pollution, economic and social costs ...

It seems to me to have been very clear, the two parties each have an interest in continuing as before, on the sly, against a background of open disagreement... Just like China and the USA. It's about knowing how far not to go too far while pushing pawns...

A rather interesting video of Sarkozy's hearing of March 16, 2023 on energy independence.

You have to admit that Sarkozy is something other than the assholes that followed him...
and yet it was already one at the time! :)

To sum up, Astrid's goal was to make a fast neutron breeder reactor of about 600 MWelec with sodium coolant, heir to Phényx and Superphényx.

Even being fairly neutral and factual, these are tricky contraptions to build and operate.

If France was ahead in the 1990s, it collapsed on Sodium FNRs (and even on conventional PWRs).

To date, only the Russians master and operate sodium fast reactors (these are the BN X00 reactors).

since when is there good or bad nuclear power? It's like asking the question about deadly diseases since all are deadly, by definition.

The true talk of a great nuclear scientist... A must-listen.
They should invite him more often in the media...
