in order of magnitude, we are 50% dependent on Russia and China for everything... gas, oil, metals.

probably even more on certain manufactured products!

This is what the GreenPeace report for the year 2022 says. But "pass" simply means "transit on Russian soil".
There are other possible routes, as well as other suppliers than Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
And at worst air transport could always be envisaged, with some additional costs, of course.... The quantities for France (about 8000t/year of natural uranium in total, all import countries combined) are not so enormous only that. A cargo plane must carry 50t?
