The peak of triso births was in January 87 or designed in April 1986 ...

I do not bother my sister (I have none) ... But it's a sad fact ... Stop the people from going out, and confines the few months and you'll see ...

Well the whole question is: fertilization BEFORE or AFTER April 26?

Because in the report they seemed to say: ALREADY pregnant!

If it's AFTER, scientifically, it's better understood ... if it's BEFORE ???

Well we will see in 9 months in Japan, there will be a new series of data ... :| :|

Found news from 2006 on the impossibility of making a precise assessment of Chernobyl: https://www.econologie.com/tchernobyl-et ... -2819.html

Otherwise today it is not held by the French "justice" for the victims of Cherno in France, the justice of my country is beautiful ...

I do not believe (remember more) that an estimate of the economic cost of Chernobyl was made in the documentary, so here is some info:

Christophe wrote:Here's an interesting article that tried to estimate the cost of the Chernobyl disaster, and as expected, it's tricky: http://www.ladocumentationfrancaise.fr/ ... obyl.shtml

(...)

socio-economic consequences

To assess the cost of the Chernobyl disaster, we must consider:
- direct damage and repair and rehabilitation costs: construction of a concrete sarcophagus around the damaged reactor, cleaning of the site, landfilling of waste and the most contaminated land, evacuation of a town of 50 000 inhabitants and construction of an equivalent city to relocate the inhabitants, relocation of the inhabitants of the hundreds of evacuated villages, monitoring of the radioactivity,
- indirect expenditure: compensation, victim care,
- the losses of agricultural, forestry and industrial production (including the production of electricity from the Chernobyl power plant permanently closed in 2000).

● As far as she is concerned, Belarus evaluates the total cost of the disaster on 30 years to 235 billion dollars. She dedicated 22,3% of her budget in 1991 and 6,1% in 2002. As an indirect consequence of the disaster, some analysts believe that the need to establish a genuine war economy is one of the causes of the installation of authoritarian rule in Belarus.

Ukraine, for its part, gives a range of 175 to 200 billions of dollars and allocated 25% of its budget to Chernobyl in 1991 (3,4% today). But these figures do not include the loss of life or the loss of production of invalids (65 000 liquidators).
For example, according to the Act on the status and social protection of citizens affected by the Chernobyl disaster, about 7% of the Ukrainian population is concerned, that is:
-165 000 residents evacuated areas
-253 000 liquidators
-643 000 children of liquidators

● Russia, for its part, has not published precise accounts.

However, spending added three countries certainly exceed 500 billion.
The payment of compensation to victims is the most burdensome for the three countries. Seven million people currently receive allowances related to Chernobyl.
However, the tax burden is being quickly proved unbearable for transition countries experiencing a drop in their standard of living, the authorities have failed to reassess disability pensions and other allowances, so that the amounts received individually become relatively paltry.

In conclusion, the real cost and the environmental and health consequences of the Chernobyl disaster will probably never be known in their entirety.

(...)

In addition, it is always difficult to quantify the human cost (and biological in the broad sense ...)

I reasonably think we can go on 500 to 1000 billion for the direct and indirect costs of Chernobyl ...

Coincidence? Article from yesterday:

As the world looks to the nuclear disaster in Japan, the Nuclear Safety Authority (ASN) warned on Wednesday March 30 that the rapid and sharp increase in doses of radioactivity delivered to patients by medical imaging, in particular scanners, had become a "major concern" in France.

"ASN has noted, as is already the case in Japan and the United States, an increase in the doses delivered by these examinations", in particular during scanners, said Jean-Christophe Niel, CEO of ASN, by presenting a report to Parliament on the state of nuclear safety and radiation protection in France in 2010. The doses received by patients during these diagnoses exploded, increasing by 50% between 2002 and 2007.

Basic advice to follow and very recent to resist radiation (published yesterday):
eat lots of antioxidants, especially those (rather rare) that enter our body as well before an X-ray scan as a radioactive cloud !!
Antioxidant formula prior to radiation exposure may prevent DNA injury
http://www.eurekalert.org/pub_releases/ ... 031711.php
http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/20 ... 095432.htm

Small problem, the antioxidant formula is kept secret !!

We should have eaten in 86, in addition to iodine, to those who have suffered the Chernobyl cloud especially in Corsica.
The Paris prosecutor does not find a correlation with Chernobyl for the thyroid, even in Corsica with 46% more after 86 !!!

So if you eat well, anti-junk food, you will resist radiation better!

And better, this advantage of eating well will be passed on to your children if you don't traumatize your genes and your DNA:
Traumatizing Your DNA: Researcher Warns That It Isn't 'All in the Genes'
http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/20 ... 104737.htm
http://www.arte.tv/fr/Tchernobyl---20-a ... 77568.html
recent report from the IPPNW (International Organization of Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War) and the Gesellschaft für Strahlenschutz (Radiation Protection Center):
Research has shown that only 10% of damage to genetic material occurs in first generation individuals, and that 90% will occur in the next seven generations. We haven't finished hearing about Chernobyl…
Of the 600 to one million liquidators sent from Russia, Ukraine or Belarus to clean up the site after the accident, 000 to 50 died. In these three republics, local authorities agree that 000% of liquidators are seriously ill today: they suffer from cancers, organic diseases of the brain, sensory, respiratory, digestive systems and endocrine pathologies ( thyroid and pancreas).
What about the safety of supposedly safe reactors in Europe?

An accident is always possible, in any nuclear power plant. We must stop talking only about the "ugly" East German reactors - in Germany alone there are four "junk reactors", which should be shut down immediately because they no longer meet current safety standards. We believe that all nuclear power plants have their place in the museum and nowhere else.

What about food safety in contaminated areas in 1986?

There are few uncontaminated foods and a lot of irradiated foods. People have been consuming contaminated products for years. This "internal radiation" plays a major role in the evaluation of the diseases attributed to Chernobyl; it is often much more serious than outside radiation because it directly damages cells. So far, however, hardly any international action has been taken to ensure that local people can eat healthy products. Most are too poor and have no choice but to eat what they find in the woods - mushrooms, fruits and berries. It is very cynical of the IAEA to blame people for a victim mentality and blame them for their misfortune. According to a recent press release, alcoholism and smoking are worse than Chernobyl radiation ...
