chatelot16 wrote:I did not say that my ecs fridge gas plant was the right solution!

I say above all that the electric water heater remains the best solution in summer when we consume little hot water and that it is useless to start a boiler ...

even the one who wants a solar water heater to buy an electric water heater to have a cheap 200l tank: buying a special solar tank is ruinous!

the big multifunction heat pump will be perhaps a solution, which changes pressure automatically to make sometimes the low temperature of heating, sometimes a higher temperature for DHW, which takes the calories in general outside, and time in time in the fridge or in the freezer
Beautiful solution for the future to which I subscribe, just like your comment which is worth the detour. Indeed, as Alain G says, all will be played on the feasibility, the lowering of the costs since there will be larger quantities produced (which should qmm lower the prices) and of course the availability of the parts or their possible upgrade with backward compatibility from newer generations.

Well that... since they already want to raise the retirement age, for hibernation will we have to wait for the next ice age? : Mrgreen: : Mrgreen: : Mrgreen:

Obamot Hi!

I had the opportunity a few years ago to visit a house with the ultimate heating system. The system was geothermal which heated the indoor inground pool from which another Thermo-pump drew the heat required to heat the huge house.

This is a fine example of a more efficient two stage system which unfortunately is only available to the wealthy! : Cry:

Hello

All-electric heating is much more economical than oil-fired heating.
A well-insulated house in an all-electric northern climate, air conditioning in the summer, has an annual consumption of 26000 kwh, which costs him $2100.
If we look at the cost of cable TV, internet, telephone, it's almost the same price annually.

To say that electric heating will be banned in Quebec is likely to have a revolution .. Especially after the government has made advertising campaigns, discounts on kwh in less cold periods to be dual energy, to encourage us to have everything electric.
It is not for nothing that the standards for electrical input in a house are 200 amperes sour 230 volts.
The government encourages us to heat electrically.

Save electricity and water the message does not get through when we have it in abundance..

prohibit electric heating. Frankly, how am I going to get warmed up then. : Cheesy:

Personally, I am right in this situation, with a house equipped with electric heating which is expensive and does not heat up.

changing this type of heating would be a good thing but since to change it takes more than 30 euros, the idea but a little past.

especially since at this price I can heat in electric for a long time.

it's true that you have to look a little further than the end of your nose

in canada with a lot of water in electric plants, electricity is not even nuclear! it would be very stupid not to use this power

in addition canada is not in europe so you are not subject to these stupid directives

I am for thermodynamic heating, but only for good ones, available in spare parts to be able to last as long as you want

it is not to prohibit an electric heating decreed bad by some ecolodictator that it will make progress the heat pump currently in the hands of another dictator of consumption

Hi André!

Oil heating is much more economical even here in Quebec than electricity, with a high efficiency furnace and the price of oil at $0,70 per liter, oil must be above $1,10 to equal electricity.

It is a myth to think that electricity is more economical, much more caused by the old inefficient and non-efficient systems existing in Quebec residences!

I am currently converting to oil with an oil water heater using hot water to be able to heat the garage and the house which are separated without having the smells of a hot air heater which could communicate with common leads. I was able to recover commercial refrigeration unit exchangers for $0 in 13 mm copper pipe, only the valves are missing. Hot water needs will also be supplied by this system which will operate at high pressure, so no need for an expansion tank.

Personally, I am right in this situation, with a house equipped with electric heating which is expensive and does not heat up.

Réponse:
1) buy a ladder, climb on the roof and eliminate the insulation holes hidden behind the tiles! Chase away absurd drafts with a few rolls. You will go from F to D, given the quality of your insulation on paper!!
2) heating with free wood thrown everywhere, to dry and grind, which I do more and more. An insert or stove, well chosen, does not cost so much, partly installing it yourself;
Personally, I am right in this situation, with a house equipped with electric heating which is expensive and does not heat up.

3) How much do you pay in housing and property taxes for heating?
For me, it's 2 to 3 times more, with more shitty insulation than yours, because your house is older!!
I better lobby and vote for MPs who don't waste taxpayers money!! (not easy), but the potential for savings is much greater than that of eliminating any heating expense!!

changing this type of heating would be a good thing but since to change it takes more than 30 euros, the idea but a little past.

clear proof that your heating is not that expensive!! Your long is 15-20 years, so not so negligible interest rate!!

In addition, free wood will reduce the heating bill for a low investment, and in addition collecting this wood will make you do a little exercise !!
If I pick up the wood thrown away by my neighbors, I'm sure to heat 5 houses!!

Finally, beware of scams on heating by professionals, not easy to avoid. only way, become a specialist.
My personal case with CAP in 2008 which lasts only 8 years max!!! (I have several houses 900km away)
From my point of view, the 12 cm ITE is almost a scam, especially not looking for less expensive insulation defects, nor moving the windows!! Thicker the price explodes, except to do it yourself in straw!!

This automatic wood chip stove for less than 2000€ deserves consideration: click on fuel stove:
http://www.energie-bois-sud.com/
http://nrjboisud.over-blog.com/
One more proof that the price of automatic stoves is often excessive!!

I have the impression that in Quebec electricity is a little more expensive than in France, to read you.
In Canada you have great achievements without heating expenses recovering the heat of the summer for the winter:

To pot!!!

Without speaking about all the wood of your immense forests, only the free kindling is enough to heat!!!

No! Electricity ($0,07 CDN) is nearly half the price in France but fuel oil is also cheaper!

An example that I experienced in my old workshop:
$2400 for electricity including heating
$ 1000 for oil and electricity after installing my high efficiency hot air furnace, the difference is quite clear!
