to buy a barrel of oil at €129 now in 2022, you have to work 13,85 hours at the minimum wage rate
Data: at 35h/week, 151,67 hours/month and SMIC at 1 euros gross per month.

“I don't care”, E85 only increased by 10% : Wink:

Here an order of magnitude over the period.

The cost of a full would have stopped falling ... (according to a video linked below)

evolution of the minimum wage

parallel established in the face of the evolution of the price of fuel (I know it's not the price of the barrel...)

So to pay for a full tank in 1980, you needed 14 hours of SMIC, whereas before the Macron crisis in 2017, 7 hours of SMIC were enough.

There is the crisis, but since we did 500 km with a full tank in 1980 and 600 km with vehicles in the same category today...
