Energy is everywhere, even in insects!

Oil, gas, coal, nuclear (PWR, EPR, hot fusion, ITER), gas and coal thermal power plants, cogeneration, tri-generation. Peakoil, depletion, economics, technologies and geopolitical strategies. Prices, pollution, economic and social costs ...

Frankly grotesque: microphones (electrodynamics, preferably high efficiency with neodymium magnet), a rectifier bridge, a supercapacitor.

It will be expensive for KWh! : Evil:

However, if it's art :D

In any case, if it works, given the din that the cicadas make during the summer in our hot Provençal country, the very one where the ITER project is developed, this source of energy from the song of the cicadas should be able to compete with the energy of nuclear fusion! : Mrgreen:

Cicadas v / s Tokamak ... This is a debate that should fascinate us!

Yep, if we can produce electricity with sound, we can install the sensors under the highways ...
Or near a waterfall?
Poor insects that we want to attract to artificial flowers : Cry:

Stop dreaming: that poses no technical problem, but the gray energy and the cost per KWh would be strictly prohibitive and not competitive.

Each sensor (in fact, a microphone) would produce microwattshours!
