ITER when?

Oil, gas, coal, nuclear (PWR, EPR, hot fusion, ITER), gas and coal thermal power plants, cogeneration, tri-generation. Peakoil, depletion, economics, technologies and geopolitical strategies. Prices, pollution, economic and social costs ...

So if we believe the slightly propagandist document issued by the ITER Organization ...

the reactor will produce 0 MW in 2040

and the next "DEMO" would be at + 500 MW in 2060 ...

"predicted and roadmap"

all this because physics is not favorable, as I explained, to the very principle of Tokamak

the tokamak can be fun to study fusion, but not to generate net energy.

Not to mention that we will know if barzing works in 50 years! ... And by then, many things will have changed and evolved. Perhaps we will even have found and improved ways of producing truly non-polluting energy.
In short, as much to put this money in a more reasonable research than this nuclear Grail.

well in fact you're not so far from reality because the announced powers last less than a second.

For example 500 W x 000s = 000 J = 1 kWh

or the thermal energy of a good liter of fuel

and as I said before, the energy balance over the entire operation is catastrophic, even if we manage to have a little hiccup with positive balance for a moment.

Explanation in length and breadth, fascinating clear presentation, measured by Alain Becoulet, punctuated by impertinent questions from Acermendax

Just to see the face of the other asshole, it gives me buttons ... It's still a beautiful advertisement for a bright future and a huge waxing of pump at the CEA ... And Izy swallows again. "Sassy questions" LOOOOOOL !!!!!

it is not without reason that he calls himself the crooked face, a great navel-gazing guru, too; pseudozététicians.

Too bad you are so obtuse and steeped in dogmatic certainties, because you would have learned a lot from the greatest specialist in the field https://www.franceculture.fr/emissions/ ... ntre-diter

The problem, my good Izy, is that theoretically, it's been a bunch of years that we know and that practically it turned out but it never produced electricity. On the other hand, what does it cost! That they start to manage to run their EPRs (of m ...), then we will see. Or not. I do not think so". : Mrgreen:

Precisely, EPR and fusion are two different things. The cost comes to a few cents per household, since it is a global project, we will not neglect a worldwide coordinated means of struggle ... As you are anti-science, it is not worth that I talk more about it.

He says it, we know that with the knowledge acquired, the dimensions of the ITER project are the right ones to trigger a reaction of self-production of energy that cannot get carried away, nor produce dangerous waste, contrary to what people say. some misinformed media ...

for me, it is a hope of fighting against the RC not to be neglected, since the current ecological transition is not the good one.
