300 kWh, when gas is cheap, not cool, but cheap.
Today, it's no longer the same story.

And so with your new Tempo tariff and above all the profound modification of your consumption profile linked to the modification of the number of people at home, you do not plan to change to an electric cumulus?

Personally in 2003 when I bought my house...There was only the cumulus connected to the fuel boiler...I didn't even ask myself the question...A good old 250l cumulus during off-peak hours ...

So, I have just seen that I can have the gas consumption day by day.

So it consumes 9 kWh per day, rounded off, I think, which must really be a little over 8.5 kWh when we're not there, and often 9.4 kWh, when we're there, with little use.

All week before 15/08, we weren't there...

During this period, we were at home

And there, for a few days, the boiler starting to turn, and heating tests....

A few days ago, after leaving the boiler water on the toilets, in order to properly rinse this circuit, the shower only is connected to it, during next week, I connect the whole house, and cut the gas cumulus.

THE boiler runs in heating production, a little at night, and in the morning, the wood does the rest...

9 kWh is 9 times more than mine!

Turn it into a thermo balloon!!

water-pumping-filtration / transforming-a-solar-DHW-tank-into-thermodynamic-water-heater-with-a-small-swimming-pool-t17035.html

8) 8) 8)

ps: if you have 9 kWh of consumption with 0 use, so 9 kWh of pure losses, you have a serious problem with your balloon... : Shock:

Small question... Some plumbers installed looped DHW circuits in large houses to have hot water instantly at the tap... Wouldn't you be in this case sometimes???

Or a hot water leak? 9 kWh is the energy to heat 150 liters from 10° to 60°...

You can try to turn off the gas for 24 hours without using DHW, and see how much the temperature drops, that would allow you to calculate the thermal loss of the tank.

Good remark.

But DHW loops in private homes are still very rare (a friend just put one in...but in a new house)...and if the loop pipes are not insulated, it's a nice bullshit!

Because I doubt very much that an isolated DHW loop will cause 375 W of losses... : Shock:

Good point too!

Cut off the gas and the water inlet of the balloon to cut off a possible leak...the 2 at the same time or 1 by 1?

Seen in large private houses in Brittany with uninsulated exposed pipes... It made me jump... But hey... The owner explained to me that water was expensive in his town and that the 4 teenagers which she had custody were not particularly economical, as the building was in itself a sieve ... The DHW loop represented a negligible loss compared to the rest ...

Yeah... so might as well leave a window open since the rest is a sieve anyway? Is that the idea?

The stupid Breton reasoning! : Shock: : Lol:
