That is to say ? Can you detail a little?

No idea and I still do not know for sure if it's the ROOF ROOF or the ROOF of the reactor that collapsed! The information is confusing but considering the explosion ca feared ...

The nuance between the 2 is just HUGE!

If it's the roof of the reactor, it's already a Chernobyl !!
If it is the roof of the reactor building, it is still a potential Chernobyl!

Put us the direct link from maps please :)

Let's have a thought for all Japanese people, especially from the North ... it's going to be difficult in the next few days ...

The Russians had much more military means than the Japanese, stuck in the earthquake and the tsunami:
an armada of helicopters sacrificed with their pilots
an armada of liquidators, 600000 also sacrificed by deceiving them on the risks, an empty region on 100Km around, etc.

The Japanese do not have them, and robots not much!

Do not be fooled about the capabilities of Japanese, especially nuclear, they have already made mistakes in the past, more than us!

The most serious is to believe that nuclear is compatible with a country with 100 times more earthquakes than France, which also made the same c ....

Japanese Greenpeace had petitioned against dangerous absurd nuclear installations that I had signed a few years ago !!

Now, it's too late.

The risk of nuclear power is for centuries !!

The earthquake and tsunami is on 10 years !!

In France, if we continue imperturbable, nuclear will also end with the same disaster, sooner or later!

+ 1 dedeleco (yes!)

Good a little hope:

11 p.m.

According to the Japanese Nuclear Safety Agency, serious damage to the reactor vessel is unlikely.

So you have to understand that caisson = reactor

And the term used as reactor in most articles = reactor building ...

Phew !! We are therefore not (yet) in the case of a tcherno ... which according to this statement seems "unlikely"!

And all expenses:

12 p.m.

According to Reuters:
"The explosion at the Japanese nuclear power plant in Fukushima on Saturday is due to hydrogen," Ian Hore-Lacy, communications director of the World Nuclear Association, headquartered in London, said on Saturday. If hydrogen exploded, there are more, it therefore presents no danger. "As far as we know, there is no particular risk of radioactive leaks. It is possible, but we do not know. There is no reason to believe that there is a therefore, "he added.

If hydrogen exploded, there are more, it therefore presents no danger.

It's too good! It's really a lobbyist word.
To put in Humor emergency!

What was this H2 for?

I am not reassured because the official Japanese tend to minimize in their statements, on the actual deaths, given the visible damage, and on the nuclear, if the hydrogen exploded very violently instead of being evacuated progressively , it is likely that the tank topped with at least partly !!
And the uncooled reactor will continue to clear !!

I am skeptical.

But we do not show the heart of the big red open reactor burning like Chernobyl!
So it will be much less catastrophic.

An old saying goes: "anything but bad is good"
This is tragic for the current and future victims, but it may, perhaps, reflect the Japanese and therefore international authorities on the risks, always denied, nuclear.

Alas, the "nuclearists" will always find a justification, however bogus it is, to continue their disastrous activity.
It is up to citizens to wake up and ask for the abandonment of this technology.
We must not expect anything from our leaders.

I had to leave for an hour.

The 4 containment enclosures are perfectly visible on Google Earth, it dates from 2004.

Given the image I just saw on TV, it seems unfortunately that there is more containment, the concrete seems to have volatilized ....! We do not dare to say it yet.

There is one last little hope: that the reactor vessel is intact and that we can avoid its explosion. Night has fallen and we can not do much in the dark.

The media is still very rough on the accuracy of the facts, however, staff must be present at the scene, and an initial assessment should be available.
It is quite disturbing that the roof collapsed, it should have resisted, especially with regard to its type of structure.
He question for now leaks radioactives..ça cold in the back!

Full of images of the plant before the nuclear disaster this morning: http://www.google.com/images?hl=en&q=fu ... 45&bih=593

I went twice in the hinterland and it is very agricultural. Rice farmers had found a way to harvest two rice crops a year while the region is rather cold in winter, a performance they were proud of. In the night the winds will reverse and push the radioactive cloud inland. : Shock:

Yes, part of a building has literally "vaporized"! Watch the video carefully!
And according to the authorities, there are only 4 injured! Strange ..... Worrying!

Personally, I think it does not smell all that!
