Nuclear replaced by renewable = monstrous says Sarko

Oil, gas, coal, nuclear (PWR, EPR, hot fusion, ITER), gas and coal thermal power plants, cogeneration, tri-generation. Peakoil, depletion, economics, technologies and geopolitical strategies. Prices, pollution, economic and social costs ...

For Quebec it is: 96% hydroelectric, 2% nuke and 2% ENR, there is indeed a petroleum backup plant but the figure represents dust. Wind power is growing very quickly with large investments.

Unfortunately the majority of solar panels are owned by oil companies, the same goes for new generation batteries. : Evil:

Damn, I can't "copy / paste" the addresses of the sites ...

But to see, type "Areva + wind turbines"

or even "Areva + GDF Suez + wind turbines"

Ah, there you go :

http://www.maxisciences.com/areva/areva ... 14254.html

http://www.areva.com/FR/activites-406/e ... ement.html

Or even that?

The time will come when the other countries, having made the effort to get out of nuclear power, will not fail to put pressure on France ...

The time will come when the other countries, having made the effort to get out of nuclear power, will not fail to put pressure on France ...

Especially since a Fukushima in Fessenheim will send all its radioactive particles directly to Germany according to the prevailing winds and the evacuation limit of 100 Km in Germany and 20Km in France (much more lax regulation ad hoc, which stopped the Chernobyl cloud at this border !!) will be mainly in Germany !!

In Germany a Fukushima would have evacuated 100Km and not 20 to 30Km, this for eternity !!!

Wind turbines "emerging market" according to Areva? Nice joke but we are more like a joke near their CONmunication service ...

It's been 30 years that the Danes, Germans and other Spanish or Californians have been on this market ... France has clearly missed its technological development on this market. It's not the few million euros of aeva that will change anything ...

Then who would trust a nuclear to install wind turbines? : Mrgreen: : Mrgreen:

Read also the opinion I just wrote that we could summarize in nuclear VS desertec: ttp: //www.econologie.com/forums/post201207.html#201207

The time will come when the other countries, having made the effort to get out of nuclear power, will not fail to put pressure on France ...

the "will arrive" is to be replaced by "has arrived" !!

In addition I had forgot little Luxembourg who would be completely evacuated overnight, from top to bottom, until the last inhabitant, with the Cattenon power station next door !!!
the Cattenom nuclear power plant in Lorraine.
Located in the Moselle department, it is 12 kilometers from the Luxembourg border.
If there is a problem, "we should evacuate the whole territory"
"This plant is problematic insofar as if it were not safe and if an accident were to occur there, we would have to evacuate all Luxembourg territory, which is characterized by its smallness", declared Jean-Claude Juncker the First Luxembourg Minister Jean-Claude Juncker

http://www.20minutes.fr/ledirect/714789 ... e-cattenom

Switzerland is a little better placed !!

Since no plant and reprocessing plant in the world can withstand the complete absence of cooling, no plant in the world can be completely safe !!

And in 10 years, France will be:
50% Renewable, 49% Nuclear, 1% Oil / Gas

Because you may not know it, but Total + EDF + Areva will own (own) the entire solar industry. Example, Tenesol ...

This solution was magnificently ignored by the current head of state in 2004, when he was minister of industry.
On the other hand I think that a possible challenger for the presidency of 2012 will certainly propose a similar scheme (50/50).
