before i used flucompactes
in a room I used 3 bulbs of 8 watts each on a candlestick and the other room 3 bulbs of 20 watts noname on a candlestick (after several catastrophic tests the noname bulbs did not last long this one hold for 3 years now) I have them give to a neighbor who continues to use them and is very satisfied with them)
now I use on the same candlestick 3 lamps 220 v of 13 w each (120 leds per bulbs) and it lights up my two rooms I no longer need to light the other candlestick in the other room

good ok they are very very ugly but hey it lights up very well c is the main

Products using SMD technology seem to me to have a significant rate of youthful defects.
After debugging, their reliability seems better (hence the interest of the guarantee).

At work, during the repair of the elevators, they placed SMD LEDs (I don't know the brand). In less than a week, there was one burnt out of 8. For 6 months, the other 7 have been working ...

For my part, my 4 Xanlite xXx have been operating (at least) 3 hours a day for 18 months.

They are 48 in series on 220V rectified and one dead on 48 is enough to finish the lamp !!
While the other 47 remain good !!!!!
Otherwise if not in series, we would see 47 LEDs lit and one dead on the 48 !!!

So if each one has the 1% probability of dying, the probability of dying collectively the lamp is 1- (1-1%) ^ 48 = 0,38 or more than one chance in 3

With 1 per thousand it is 48 times more, approximately either 1- (1-0,001) ^ 48 = 0,047 or 4,7 out of 100 !!

And it would be enough to change the dead SMD LED !!!!

Also the real lifetime is greatly shortened collectively.

If possible, an individual power supply for each LED is to be chosen.

Small exercise in calculating probabilities to do :

if each LED lives 50000h, (one chance in 2 to die on this time), how long do the 48 live in series, collectively ?????

If no error, on the assumptions, (those independent of life as for radioactive) on calculator 1434h !!!
