Battery Replacement with a Spring Generator

by the middle » 08/08/08, 10:32

:D Hello,
I still have a stupid idea :? (it's stronger than me)
I notice that our society uses a lot of batteries for a lot of "gadgets"
Electronic clock, weather station, alarm clock, and other devices that consume little, but their pollution by batteries is considerable.
The idea is to make a spring generator, as on the old spring alarm clocks, which would replace the batteries.
To reassemble the spring, I imagine a hand or pedal system.
A continuous bib would indicate that it is necessary to wind the spring.
You will say to me "uhhh, you imagine the size of this generator? Uh you imagine the DIY to connect this generator instead of the batteries"
So what? it is the result that counts.
It's like wind turbines, it's not super decorative, but in the end, it preserves nature. (And also the wallet) :D
I can't imagine myself making this device, which can be decorative.
But it may give the desire to do it to a clear, dynamic and clear person. :D
In the end, more batteries :D
The idea came to my mind because of a rechargeable flashlight that I have at home; she has a manual generator, but the battery is dead, but when I run her manual generator, everything works :D (it has a radio, flashlight function, alarm, mobile phone charger)
So ? you like the principle? or not?

Hello,
It is the production of energy "on demand" that you recommend! : Mrgreen:
For my part, I have a clear preference for rechargeable batteries.

This is not because we always said that it is impossible that we should not try :)

In a spring, to sum up: "Not enough energy, my son"

It's just enough for baby carriages, a few toys and ... Swiss watches!

Hello,
Do you have specific reasons for "not liking"?

there were, I believe, in the past, light bulbs for the cellar, you had to pull a cord that activated a mechanism that produced electricity on the light bulb, for a few seconds?

masi maybe was it just a timer and the bulb connected on the 220 V?

Yes, I guess ... it must have been a tempo.

Speaking of muscle energy ... Do you know how much energy you can do on a "full" and "average" bike?

A few tens of watts for most people ...

Toutafé ... and with legs ...

Although a good pull on a dynamo that has a lot of inertia (mass) must be able to light a few seconds (20 to 30) a 20W bulb ...

It was just to clear up the jonule thing.
