A small correction of an old post
Mozilla firefox is much slower / heavier to boot than internet explorer
in addition, I advise you to manage cookies (ask permission); in doing so you will quickly discover that the pollution of your PC comes from there because of the number of crap who invite themselves without authorization automatically
config Menu:
Tools / Internet Options / Privacy / Advanced and there check the "ask" options

I'm working on web apps and browser rendering time is important in what I do.
I therefore allow myself to complete Maloche with these few remarks:
If it is longer, when it first loads the user session, to the following, Firefox is faster than IExplorer.
It is also much faster than IE to display pages. Especially when they have javascript in it.
At work, I have the display of the loading time of each page.
I can tell you that I'm good at picking it up on most complex pages ...
In addition, as developers, we prefer Firefox that meets the standards of W3C IE IE that sways.
You do not imagine the percentage of Javascript code written specifically just to make IE do what all other browsers do very well by themselves .... because they respect a standard that IE does not always respect.
Finally, it seems that the 8 version of the Microsoft browser is on the path of standardization ...
