Dropbox is a nice free software and hosting to synchronize and find your files from any computer. It creates a directory that we want in which all the files are saved online (2 GB basic).

We can install it on all our computers and like that as soon as we are on the Internet the files modified with another computer are automatically recovered.

You can also connect by a simple internet browser when you are at someone else's.

There is also http://alternativeto.net which is a site that allows you to find software similar to others (free or not). A bit like framasoft, and very practical too.
