All wired too

If I want to go to another room with the laptop, it's direct CPL (carrier current online)

In addition to being harmful, the WI-FI is really not very stable as a connection ...

+1 also with MAC spoofing, it's very easy ...
If one day I manage to build a house (econological it goes without saying), there will be 2 RJ45 sockets per room, minimum!

I'm not too much for the mobile phone, for its harmfulness not yet officially established in France.
I'm not saying it's not helpful. In hardship and troubleshooting.
Myself at work, I'm forced to collect a laptop while I do not want it.
But now with packages and preferential numbers kids spend their time and fall asleep at night with the phone to the ear to say banalities. Enough is enough.
At home, there is also the microwave handy, but with waves as harmful.

So a WiFi, plus in a house! .... Why, when it is not necessary?

When you have a desk, computer fixes, even in each room, what does it cost, to spend a RJ45 wire that can do 100m?
Once installed in each room, it is definitive, and no need for additional harmful waves in the house 24H on 24H

The WiFi interest is for laptops, to hit on his bed, an armchair, WC ...
Also among students of which only one takes the subscription, and in fact benefit all the neighbors of landing.
But is this pleasure the possible inconvenience of a sensory dysfunction or a future disease?
Because at the same time, the WiFi feeds fixed pc which would be satisfied simply with a wired connection to 100KB.

I am also against wifi or bluetooth mice. While a single wire replaces waves and a battery ...

For those who do not want to drill holes, the home network transmission systems may be valid, since the 50Hz network, although harmful is still present; but the interfaces are more expensive.

We must think before acting. We are invaded and attacked by waves of which we do not have the utility most of the time.
Useless in the current context, to add non-stop in our environment, while they also act when we try to sleep and rebuild at night.
Think of children who are even more assaulted when they grow up.

When testing my link (3Mb), I realized that I would never be above the 8mb.
So I took an adsl to 15 € (without modem rental con).
I bought on EBay an Olitec 500 modem router (30 €), with 4 ethernet and a usb.
And it works without the waves.

Now I was thinking of getting rid of FT, to have the Tel understood. But all Fai offer a WiFi router modem, and 2 wired outputs maxi. In addition the tel is limited to a handset, or 2 or 3 if you take a base that transmits, non stop, in all the house still GSM waves ...
Having a need for 4 combined, I wait for it to be proposed in the trade, a wire base, or, I will have to tinker a little ...

I saw that at Free, the Freebox V5, has 4 Ethernet outputs. It becomes interesting. Because WiFi on this machine can be disabled. A single catch again, so wait for the aforementioned problem.

In a family where there was a V4 Wifi, the waves went badly thick walls.
And in the aquarium, at 80cm of the box, all the fish are dead, in some time ...
Me, in addition to the preventive alarms of honest specialists, such a demonstration is enough for me.
The precautionary principle, learn to apply it for yourself and your loved ones.

100% agree.

Do you know the book "These waves that we will one day kill".

I did not know the history of the fish in the aquarium, but recently they showed to the regional news, an experience made at the INRA of Clermont-Ferrand: the waves emitted by mobile phones have a harmful effect on tomatoes located in the reception area. a pity, I no longer have the reference of the report.

:) It's nice to worry about me.

No, it smelled like a "pantone presentation day in front of Belgian local elected officials" ...

I will tell you later later that I am preparing the pdf for the conference.

basically, the cat 5e is the RJ45 standard to pass from 100 Mb / s
you can even run 1000 Mb / s (1Gb / s) on it if <50m

cat 6 and 6 is for 1 and 10 Gb / s (not for 10)

if it's cat 5 (not e), 4, 3 ... it can possibly pass 10Mb / s, 100 if it's not too long, but we put more for telephony ...

Although even now we put cat 5 or 6 everywhere like that everything goes ....

Ok thank you I didn't know these notions at all.

Apparently it's the 5th but I do not see how the plug influences that much in the flow ... the "power" of the switch and the length of the cables seems to me more important am I wrong?

That said, I know these nuances without knowing what difference there is on the cable itself

I have 3 of 5 and 6, frankly, at first sight these are the same
What is the difference? none seem to be armored ...
