Hello,
you have coils for sale on ebay (section = AWG)

otherwise the winders (those which rewind the electric motors) can pass them on to you, as well as ball bearings, generator motors, and even batteries ;-)

Hello,
You may be able to find it at the recycling center if he accepts the recycling.
On a 17 cm monitor in crt that I had, I already have two lengths of approximately 100m in two different diameters.
And there is a piece left or he has some more and also surrounded by a black wire. But it doesn't seem to be copper if anyone knows ?.

Now knowing if it can be used for this kind of project. :| )
I also have an 80 cm TV to disassemble or there must be quite a lot I think.

wire for dynamo

by tigrou_838 » 27/08/08, 15:12

Hello everyone.

the last time i went to the recycling center (cattenom), i noticed a lot of electrical devices, computer style, vacuum cleaner, car battery, etc ...

so a lot of wiring of all kinds.

I asked the person who takes care of the monitoring and management of the site and no problem to take things that people throw away.

but beware, I know that in certain waste disposal centers (Metz) they totally refuse.

Bonjour,
it is true that they do as they want.
Well, it's also true that by going there often you get to know people and explain.
Next to the town hall, there is a glass container and the town hall noted that leaving the pack style packaging was an equivalent gesture to create a dump is therefore liable to prosecution.
Of course no trash next to: shock:

Normal want to keep the right stuff ... for them !!
And then imagine the bronx if it was "tolerated" ...

Go see the side of emmaus there is often a great deal to do (cardboard style filled with plumbing for 1 € ... savings made: about 100 €)!

This is surely a skipped and grainy question, but why not take a motor directly and rotate it to make a dynamo rather than boning it to take the copper wire and build a dynamo?

Not all engines are reversible and you have to find an engine that matches the desired power ...

I would have to get some information, I don't know if there are emmaüs in my neighborhood, otherwise for me the goal is to understand how it works and "how we can do a kind of self-construction".
