The manufacturer ofMEGAMAN energy saving light bulbs® has just obtained the European Ecolabel on around fifty models of energy-saving lamps

The European Ecolabel is a tool for recognizing ecological criteria and suitability for the use of MEGAMAN lamps ®

It guarantees the quality and durability of the product as well as the limitation of its impact on the environment. It is allocated according to a multi-criteria approach (low consumption of raw material and energy, reduced production of waste, limited use of mercury and substances harmful to the environment and health) which takes into account the entire life cycle. of the product from the extraction of raw materials to its end of life and its recycling.



MEGAMAN® lamps are efficient and environmentally friendly:
• 99% recyclable.
• Snap-in method: no toxic welding.
• Water-based glue: no toxic fumes.
• Plastic bases and bases: fully recyclable.
• Silicone casing: no polluting acid. Security in case of breakage.
• Lead-free glass soldering and tubes: abandonment of lead.
• RoHS: restriction of the use of certain dangerous substances.

No liquid mercury in MEGAMAN® lamps

Since January 2008, MEGAMAN® has used an amalgam in which
mercury is trapped in a metal alloy. The ecological gains are:
• No toxic vapors during manufacture and in the event of breakage of the lamp.
• Amalgam can be collected, recycled and easily reused.
• Amalgam does not contaminate the environment.
• 50% less mercury: mercury level <2 mg.
