To reduce electricity consumption and at the same time make money you can configure your computer to consume less here are the tips:

You should know that it is only a hibernation and not a shutdown of the computer so it always consumes 30 energy Watts on average so when you do not forget turn off the completely

Hello,

Enfaite just press the button demarer of the computer (as if it is lit) and then you find your PC in the state you have left: the windows, applications, programs resident find in activity once lit

By cons it is preverable to save the documents in case.

Thank you, Sylvain78, for taking the time to give such clear explanations. You would do a good teacher ... My computer is now configured, we will see what it gives.
Is there a simple way to directly order the computer to go to sleep immediately, for example when you have to pause a job?
Oops, you answered while I was completing my post

Uh ... a few remarks the figures in consumption seem to me largely overvalued:

1) How many pc do you have in your household?
2) How many are you in your home because 1400 khW is pretty huge (personal with a 2 pc that run 12h per day on average all other conso electric is 200 kwh for 2)
3) Do you use electric heating?

Personally I do not believe at all in 700 kwhe electric saved on a station ... since a PC of 200W (maximum consumption) will consume for a month while running, 24 hours a day "fully" over 24 days: 30 kwh. ..

ps: taking 300W (which is wrong ... I tested my real conso with the PM230: 190W, including modem that is 20W, when I play with an A64, known for its high consumption, and 3 hard diques) we would get 225 kwh per month ...

We have 3 PC, but my parents have a dryer and a dishwasher that have 20 years so it must not be terrbile at the ecological level. Ba it can be that. Because we have nothing else that pumps so much energy. We have a common heating (building) I think it is gas ... In any case not electric.

So 3 computers, 3 printers, 3 LCD PC screen, 1 Modem, and a router that runs constantly

In any case, the data in kWh are true, anyway it would be useful to me what to lie on that ?? I've scanned the bills if you want to see them.

Well I believe you for the bills but I just say that it is IMPOSSIBLE that such a reduction comes from the standby ... Same 3 PC since these 3 pc that 24 / 24 would turn 7 / 7 would consume about, at worst, 225 * 3 = 675 kwh ...

The reduction that you have noticed also comes from elsewhere ... and it is safe and sure ...

ps: I also specify that the 190W mentioned in my last post that I measured on my pc also included the conso of the screen (lcd 19 samsung)
