The Apple Store scandal: http://www.maxisciences.com/apple-store ... 28056.html

After Anne Poiret's report on the working conditions surrounding the making of the iPhone 5, the image of Apple is likely to further deteriorate with the publication, on the Web, of a survey carried out by the Gizmodo site and relating to the habits of the employees of several very specific Apple Stores. Guaranteed surprise.

Theft, destruction of equipment, sale of drugs, use of private data or even psychological pressure or with sexual overtones ... Here are some of the revelations from the survey carried out by the Gizmodo site and published today, which summarizes the various correspondences received by the site since another survey carried out last June. Here are a few peeled themes:

Material destruction

The "Geniuses" who work in Apple Stores love their products. They love them so much that they don't hesitate to play football with them, according to statements from several anonymous employees interviewed by the source site. They explain that beyond the football game, the employees also tried to see which was more solid between an iPhone and an iPad, in the form of a simple game, whether these products were models brought by individuals for repairs or other. A habit that would have been taken by these "Genius", all professional rank combined, and without the slightest kind of respect towards those who bring them as with those who made them dearly at Foxconn.

Theft of equipment and use of personal data

Employees change their personal equipment at leisure, which they might find obsolete, by applying discount coupons and using the inventory in the knowledge and sight of all, according to certain emails received by the site. And when Sam Biddle asks if this practice does not bother his superiors, his interlocutor replies: "Absolutely not at the store. Usually, they are on their smartphones texting each other, in the bathroom or downstairs. , talking about their tragic lives and playing Angry Birds ... ".

Another point concerns the unprofessional attitude towards an audience in distress, material in hand. Some exchanges indicate that when an "attractive" customer arrived in the store, the behavior of the employees and managers of the store changed dramatically, with, as a backdrop, the desire to put a smile on her face. Another testimony reports a woman who left her computer for repair, and whose personal photos were viewed by members of the store, nothing technical here! An employee also recalls that it was while looking at personal data on a computer that he realized that the customer had gone to a pornographic site.

It's not "at" Apple but it's in the same subject: http://actuwiki.fr/actu/11134

A call for help from a Chinese worker was found in a package of decorations by an American woman. The content of this letter denounces the exploitation of Chinese workers in the Masanjia labor camp, who work up to 15 hours a day for the miserable salary of 1,20 euros per month.

If these facts are authentic, it must be heard ....

But I can hardly believe that we can live on 1,2 € per month in China!

On the other hand, there are sometimes serious tensions with the Han community, which accuse the dominant ethnic group of wanting to reduce them and "replace" them by leading their life hard. Perhaps it is a member of one of these minorities who is badly off and denounces it with such a message. But again, if it's true, it must be denounced, it could also be an unacceptable abuse at the local level (but even that, I can hardly imagine it).

The average salary (from official sources) ranges in China between 300 and 600 € per month. While a manager in the administration in Thailand (local town hall in Bangkok) earns less than 300 €.

These figures are astonishing, but they must correspond to a certain reality anyway. But a little more than 1 €, it is not credible, perhaps not even for prisoners in prison.

Foxconn employees in China were € 100 per month in 2010.

Since the mail is written in English, it is unlikely to come from a Chinese worker.

Just yesterday, I opened a file that a friend could not read on his PC and that he asked me to conert for him.

I see its ending .docx

These thieves from Microsoft have therefore created a new non-universal file format so that you have to buy a new version or a new program to read it. A real scandal.

Finally it opens easily on the iPad, but there, another bad surprise, no way to print it and convert to .pdf at this stage. There is NO BASIC option on the iPad, you cannot even know the size of a file, nor when it was created.

So yes it's true, there are undoubtedly paid APPs (lications) for everything, especially for what was there "as standard" accessible to all and always.

It would be necessary to nail all this garbage from the computer cartel to the pillory ...!

So it is hardly surprising that there can be abuses of any kind among companies that produce these objects of consumption without faith or law, when we see the pettiness that animates these business leaders to make the most money possible on our back and in the most dishonorable way by flouting all deontology and all professional ethics!

When we see what Apple was at the beginning, and its quest for machines that were "ideal" for the consumer: it is hardly unimaginable to get there! If Steve Jobs had disappeared prematurely from his cancer because of the untenable contradictions which were bound to torment him, I would hardly be surprised ...

and yet, as Coluche said, it would be enough for people to no longer buy for it to no longer be sold.

I never bought anything from Apple. : Mrgreen:
