GU 10 compact fluorescent bulb with socket

by Rafeek » 05/05/07, 21:47

I just bought a Megaman GU 10 7W energy saving bulb. I am not very satisfied with the luninicity. I am afraid that it is the same with a 9 W. Are there bulbs of this type of higher power? If yes, where can I find it?

Thank you

There is no 10W Megaman GU10 bulb ... there is a 7W, 9W and 11W model see their catalog: www.megaman.de

The difference in price and size between the 9 and 11W models go to the clear advantage of the 9W ...

Sorry, the 7 stayed on the keyboard. It was indeed a GU 10 socket bulb with a power of 7 W.
Thank you for the answer.

Oops for the 7th ...

If not for your concern, it is because the 7W is "limited" to the level of lighting power that we offer the model Megaman Ingenium GU10 9W on our shop ...

According to the Megaman catalog (see page 22 on the right) the 9W model has a maximum light output of 96 Cd (candelas) while the 7W only has 62 Cd, the gain in brightness is therefore 96/62 = + 55% while consumption increases only by 9/7 = +28% ...

The 11W model is too "bulky" and its price is too high for it to be really environmentally friendly ...

According to Megaman's doc, the size of the 11 W is the same. 76 mm high for a diameter of 50 mm. :|

Well there is a little mistake, I never paid attention.

Picos included here are the measurements I just made: 7W 66 mm
and 9W 76 mm (miracle it corresponds to the doc :D )

There is little ready the same difference between the 11 and the 9 as between the 9 and the 7W. So the 11 should be around 86mm. I don't have any on hand ...
