France is indeed falling into a "democratic dictatorship" or "controlled democracy" to use a term dear to Putin ...
A bad joke that is very expensive
Dear reader,
Have you recently heard of Stéphane, a 29-year-old carpenter from Abbeville? His crime: having received an SMS from one of his friends with questionable humor on a mobile phone loaned by his operator. "To derail a train, do you have a solution?" Said the message, which was intercepted by one of Bouygues Telecom's employees and then transmitted to the authorities. Immediately afterwards, Stéphane was placed in police custody for 24 hours on the order of the prosecution for "non-reporting of the crime" and the author of the text was questioned and his home searched. But how could a joke in bad taste have such consequences? Despite the dark task that this will do to the reputation of the operator, the latter is trying to defend himself: “We do not have the right to be aware of the content exchanged by our customers. […] We don't know exactly what happened. He also announced that an internal investigation is currently being conducted to find out more about the conditions for becoming aware of the SMS. In any case, that leaves us wondering about the confidentiality of our communications ... It is not only on the Internet that we must be careful!
Good reading !
