Installing LED bulbs throughout the house

by info2d3d » 22/08/09, 18:12

Hello everybody

After falling on a video on the net presenting energy saving bulbs (fluocompact) as dangerous for health, and having children at home I decided to choose the LED solution.

Here I passed the course and I replace all of my incandescent bulbs with LED bulbs (which I am very happy).

15 bulbs including:

E14 (220volt small screw): 4 bulbs flames of 3Watt each to replace 4 of 25W

E27 (220volt large screw): 11 bulbs including 1 W 15 for cooking in pure white (excellent lighting that I recommend for cooking) and 10 6 bulbs pure white Watt for rooms, hallway, bathroom, staircase .. ..

I fired a couple of bayonets sleeves to put them in E27 (3 exactly)

in summary, coup de l'achat about 550 euros, depreciation estimated on 12 months, estimated life between 10 and 15 years

Each bulb is guaranteed 1 years, simplicity of installation (we unscrew the old and we screw the new)

Estimated service life of each bulb: 10 000 hours.

No excessive heating of the bulbs.

In short, if you want photos or additional information no worries, I am very happy with the material (and the seller)

Calculation of the saving rate over the life of the bulbs: 4200 € that I would not give to EDF :) and that I could invest in other systems as interesting.

550 Euros lighting a year seems huge for a particular. Your return on damper will probably be longer.

The LEDs that I have tested so far lack of lighting power and have a very small cone.

I know that new products come out every day, but the prices are unreasonable: for example more than 50 Euros for a bulb GU10 5 W !!! Great anything ...

I can not express myself, but it's a shot of 550 € for a lifetime of 10 years minimum (and not per year! Fortunately!)

After I speak only of my personal experience, if some decided to make the same choice I would be happy to discuss with them.

In price for a 15W (which replaces without any worries a 100W) count 50 euros and about 30 € for 6W by cons concerning 3 W I do not advise too much because it lacks lighting and must be used more for the deco than real lighting.

It is not a spot (12volt) but a bulb compatible with the existing E27 and E14 sockets (sockets format).

This video is bullshit. There is a thread on this forumI do not take it back ...

The fields come from the ballast. LED bulbs have exactly the same problem !!!

Hello,

Me too I'm going to energy saving bulbs and more particularly to LEDs.

I am about to 1 / 2 home I do it gradually as work in the house or when a lamp is dead.

I'm on vacation so I do not have a picture but I would do that to you. The result is quite nice and especially with a consomation announce much lower. Yes, the price of the bulbs is higher and in some cases you have to add a transformer.

info2d3d I am interested in your photos for other installation ideas. I just redo my kitchen and a bathroom this month. I still have two room to go in September ...

Christophe, the choice of this merchant is wider in LED than that of Econology. Do you have any news on the commercial site?
