Google Takeout: back up all your Google data and it's heavy ...
Google allows the backup of all the personal information that it has collected about you since the creation of your gmail account ...
Most of the information is collected via Android mobiles since it is now mandatory to link a smartphone or tablet to a google account (which is not yet the case on PC ... but increasingly recommended .. .)
It's over there and it only takes a few minutes: https://takeout.google.com
Personally, I have more than 40 GB (are we having a contest guys?) And I have not yet studied the content of these 40 GB ... I only use Google Photo which, I thought, is growing of data (but it's limited to 15 GB ...) so the rest ??? 30 GB of zipped text file ?? Wtf!
How many millions of TB does that represent in all? How many data centers does Google need to manage the backup of the billions of Google users? What energy and environmental cost?
ps: my working browser on PC is not connected to a Google account (but I have another browser which is on the same pc and when I see this electricity-electronics-informatics / Remarketing-retargeting-amazon-exchange-your-information-with-facebook-and-google-t15158.html ...)

I forgot I have 1 old g-mail account not validated by mobile. And I'm not going to give them a BIG:
- “Hi, it's me, back, I just want validate “Innocently verify” all the info you collected about me ”
... old adage: “which does not modify: implicitly consent!"

within 2 TB, including a few rather special vector data files, which are enormous, two are enough to saturate a µsoft drive.
So thanks for the info, I'll be able to secure them on Google.

Well me, not much.Christophe wrote:So how much do you guys weigh?
I had transferred PCs onedrive since my wife found herself in 5 gigabyte saturation, as all the personal files were systematically on the cloud.
I'm interested in it again since I stupidly lost everything without saving.
I just realized that I had to download the application onedrive microsoft to be able to access all its files in the onedrive directory of the pc.
The help provided by OneDrive mainly pushes you to buy the premium version by confusing you rather than helping you.
I plan to put my personal files, my password database but not images and videos, which will only go to external dd.

I hope at least it's seriously encrypted.
Even me who appreciates GAFAs, I would not have dared!
