If all the vehicles are traveling at 110 km/h for example on the motorway, but follow each other 10m away, at a constant speed, the first brakes, and controls all the others behind...

Dream ?

It's called adaptive cruise control. It's been working for...not far from 10 years on VW you can regulate your safety distance and it works very well

doomed doomed, but at more than 10 m, it depends on the speed and the settings.

Sure it's more than 10 my 110 but personally I've been using 2016 different vehicles since 9 and I've never been able to say that it went wrong

If it is (and it is) the same type of sensor as those for parking assistance reversing... after 10 to 15 years they are cooked (on the good brands, before on the others... .)...

Except that the consequences are not the same...

Well then there is surely a system security!

no, it's a radar that manages that and if it is disrupted by heavy rain or snow for example, help becomes unavailable https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radar_de_ ... e_distance
