And the Canadian well?
Who invented it huh? Who is it? Not Riccola ... Not the Chinese
An interesting study on homes and timber frame

Whoa!Obamot wrote:Honestly. it is necessary to wonder about the long-term quietude for a house of this type. Having lived full time in a cottage at one time. I would not want to go back there. We hear very quickly all the outside noises, especially at night. And it's pretty scary and can disturb your nights as much as your days if you're sensitive to sounds or you're going to build near a road or any other source of noise: rooster, dog barking, traffic, planes , wind, rain, work .etc ... (and of course, those who are closest: the noises domestic, especially if one lives with several ...) Notwithstanding the fact that one does not know if in his old days we will always be so tolerant ... [...]
Comparing a "chalet" (at one time more .... What time?) To a properly designed modern MOB seems to me rather risky in terms of credibility ...
Otherwise, a small example with some numbers.
MOB in the Rhone valley below Montélimar, wooden frame walls with damp sprayed wadding insulation 20cm thick. Roof wadding insufflated in box th. 30cm. Double and triple glazed window 68 mm frame. => impossible to hear the mistral or people arriving outside.
If I remember correctly, a wadding roof like this produces noise attenuation from 55 to 60 dB.
Lastly, the battle of "Canadians VS rest of the world" seems a little out of place to me in this post ...
What is the subject already?

Arf ... Explain us a bit, how to get to 60 dBA while wood fibers reach to break everything 40 dBA: and products derived from wood, such as cotton wadding cellulose. According to Lauber Mass law:
You do not even get 60 dBA with concrete !!! Point bar.
Always have to take manufacturers' catalogs and take their values in unweighted dB - and believe them - and that's what we get!

Hello
+ 1 Bucheron
the wooden frame houses have been quite decrier criticized I would say rather poorly known, I live in a house built with 1969 wood osature technology and I am satisfied as much insulation, heating, air conditioning yet double glazed windows .. it is the majority of the constructions currently around my home.
As Alain says when I travel and I see something better I adopt it, I adopted the screwdriver, electric marettes the rolling rope, from Europe I adopted the induction cooker, certain VW car ect ..

Good evening,
EPI yale ranking on country behavior:
France sixth Canada thirty-seventh.
http://epi.yale.edu/epi2012/rankings
Canadian friends, because sorry you're still Canadian I actually know quite well what is done on both sides of the Atlantic.
No you do not have a technological lead and yes you elected and re-elected Harper he did not make a coup.
For me this thread stops there, I just wanted to communicate a doc made by colleagues for first-time French access to small budgets to better understand the new reform and give them some tips.
Not for some to gargle, it reminds me of the USSR era that had the largest dwarves in the world!
Go, goodnight dear cousins I appreciate even if I love you good child Quebecois side damage as they make their North American clone a superiority complex in one of these 4 on the set or for a poutine quebec side !

Well phil12 NO, I hope it will not stop there ...
Because otherwise, every time someone whose taf is repacked by amateurs (like me and some others in wood construction) well it will not advance the schmilblick!
So believe that even if you did not agree with what I wrote, I highly appreciated your words ...
So thank you for staying! This is not to say that we must throw in the towel, so quickly eh ...
... let them express themselves a little on the questions of structure, those who have watched this in class, a little respect please (even if this type of contradiction is a little "historical" in the construction between the different trades, that it requires a dose of understanding and not to immediately steal oneself on the coat) yes we all respect each other and it will get better ....

Absolutely ... Except to prove that it would be proof of a "good" soundproofing!
Pure paralogism. because it's like thermal insulation: case-by-case! Note, nothing personal, but the Quebecers leave their dogs outside the cold season!?! If so, it must freeze every winter ...
Does it make them hot dogs for the summer? (poor keys, go ... )

Still no answer when to the advanced of our thermal technology of the house where we are definitively in advance and it is easy to prove but you skate on other subjects out of context to defend you but good, to bring back the tar sands that we do not end up at all is a blatant lack of you!
I remind you that I answered on your study which is a true copy of our constructions for several years and that it is a subject questionable especially if one compares the great similarity of construction and I remain polite well you seem incapable of the admit!!!
We do not have a superiority complex as you say so well because we know to admit that yes there are things well in advance on the old continent but not that final point!
For the poutine that has been the laughing stock of the whole world, it is now selling in New York and Europe!
Please stay on the topic you started and if you want to discuss the oil sands, start another topic and you'll see we agree on this point and Andrew will be too and to taunt you a little we do not cut you off not the fact that you produce your electricity is 80% nuke because your EPI ranking would take a hell of a blow following a nuclear accident!
