This may be what you were thinking of, but without a diagram or the right term, you were wrong!

Is it so bad for your ego? : Mrgreen:

Not at all, I don't care. But then what is this box? What is it called at Renault?

Hello,

I think it's just an intake silencer.

The resonance devices to increase the filling are located downstream of the butterfly.

By absorption, like an exhaust silencer. The pressure waves come in and out which makes the flow more fluid at the outlet (in the inlet in this case).
