Boric acid - fuel saving insecticide
I tested in engine oil in my old car, but I did not make a measurement. Not being in good condition I cannot make a reliable conclusion. What I can say is that it is not easy at all to dissolve and if it is apparently poorly dissolved it is risky. You must at least be sure to master this parameter, but dissolved I do not think there is any risk. To dissolve it I I diluted it in a little acetone and then in mineral oil while heating everything. Then I recovered the oil and left the crystallized deposit at the bottom
