As long as you do not have alcohol to burn at least 98% alcohol you will have problems to have a reliable alcohol gasoline mixture ... If you want to continue your tests ... Do them at e85 .. You will only have 75% alcohol in it but no water ....

Yes, I would be tempted to try for the e85 for the mower to see if it would be less stinky ...
