And the blower of the 2cv

Tips, advice and tips to lower your consumption, processes or inventions as unconventional engines: the Stirling engine, for example. Patents improving combustion: water injection plasma treatment, ionization of the fuel or oxidizer.

And the blower of the 2cv

by bebeours » 30/03/09, 12:06

It is a system recognized by fans of 2cv, citroen equipped visa.

Will it give something on another engine?

For me, it seems to me that by increasing the pressure before the filter, we increase it afterwards and we gain in yield.
This assembly seems accessible to DIYers, it could complete a vortex valve.

If it is, there is a small gain of power in the pot! Looking good ...
But certainly not with fuel economy : Mrgreen:

: Arrow: Ben, in fact it's not difficult to straighten crummy curves.
The Citroën twin is well known for its big hollow between 3 and 4000 revolutions / min. The 2cv from which turn to SPA develloppent up to 90 canassons. : Shock:
In competition, they suppress the blower and indeed work the dynamic admission, as on hyper sport bikes.
The biggest achievable gain on these engines is on the transmission.
The boxes are modified so as not to exceed 1000 laps of rpm between each gear for the cross.

The blower of an 2cv must remain under the hood of an 2cv.
On another engine, it would be without interest.
If I understood correctly.

It's the "poor man's turbo" ... Without being slanderous with our dear 2cv and their drivers of course!

I guess you're talking about 24h (24min) 2cv?

Not in the original engine (improved = 50cv) nor even in the "protype" category (60 - 70cv) but in hybrid yes but it is more the Citroën engine (flat BMW).

I participated 2 times: https://www.econologie.com/forums/nos-gueule ... 1-160.html

The engines that arrived at this on the bench, were not reliable on 24h. They had to deflate them for the race.

The regulations have evolved over the years. The turbo (which allowed these record powers) was banned.
We have seen double-headed cylinder heads in the head, double ignition (frequent) and many other delusions.

There are even some who have imagined an air intake in the crankcase comparable to 2 time engines.

Are you saying that modern German engines are more reliable than old engines trafficked French? : Mrgreen:

Good without laughing, I did not know that you were passionate about 2cv, you've already come to SPA then?

I will not follow you on this ground ... :D

Ben my first car was a flat twin air, a mythical mechanics. More 1600 wins in competition. I want to talk about the Panhard twin-engine equipping my 24BT (T for Tiger : Lol: ).

The next was an AMI6 SEDAN in 6V. I loved these vehicles. Removal of the engine without hoist, it was put 2 in a wheelbarrow to bring it on the bench. 8)

Unfortunately, I have never been to SPA. : Cry:
For me to climb over the Loire is like crossing the Arctic Circle. :?
I still was at Le Mans, I was even race steward ... in 94.

I did not dream of reviving such passions.

In launching this post, I wanted to know why we did not attend more the engine in his breathing.
The vortex WITH and the pantone go in this direction it seems to me.
I also know that it is not advisable to put a compressor to the air intake of the engine, but a better oxygenated engine must certainly consume less.

Message for citro: Every time I read one of your texts, with the portrait of Emmet Brawn next door, I feel like I hear Doc read the text. I do not know if I'm the only one.
