Warming: global civil war in sight?

by Christophe » 10/12/07, 19:00

Global warming could cause a "world civil war" by exacerbating latent tensions between populations, say experts in a report released Monday, December 10, in Bali, during the international climate conference. The United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) study is released - no coincidence - on the day that the Nobel Peace Prize was awarded in Oslo to Al Gore and the Intergovernmental Panel on climate change (IPCC).

The melting of glaciers or the explosion in the number of "climate refugees" due to the rise of the oceans is likely to destabilize entire regions, explain the authors of the report, according to which "acting for the climate is acting for peace". The identified risk areas are numerous: southern Africa, the Sahel, the Mediterranean, the Indian subcontinent, China, the Caribbean and the Gulf of Mexico, the Andes and the Amazon.

To speak seriously, it seems to me justified to worry about the risks of conflicts related to climate change!

The gap between favored and disadvantaged nations is likely to widen further.

In addition, extreme weather events and the resulting famines will exacerbate people's survival instincts. In a survival situation, we fight to live!
And again, the gap will widen even more between the strong and the weak!

So, it is up to us to react now to avoid this kind of situation as much as possible!

This is called putting your finger where it hurts!
If you are Al Gore's speech, it seems to me that he lets it be heard!

You absolutely do not say bullshit because the US is ready for anything !!!

Global warming and lack of raw materials and energy sources ...

Global warming, accompanied by desertification, floods, extension of disease dissemination areas.
Lack of raw materials, water for example (Hey Andrew, hang on to your stream, the Ricans arrive ...).
For energy, there is the oil that will be missed (the Ricans are in Iraq, zieutent on the side of Iran ...)

By the way, for crowd movements, why make a wall between Mexico and the USA? For the drug? They pass by the way, by plane or boat ... For illegal immigration?

There is an air of schizophrenic frenzy in our society that will end up being self-destructive - civil wars, caste wars, or simply wars ...
