Not really:
Ebola is still raging in the DRC, one year after the outbreak began.
Despite coordinated efforts and an effective vaccine, the fight against the deadly virus in the Democratic Republic of Congo is still not enough to stop the epidemic.

Ebola epidemic in the DRC: the course of 2 000 dead is crossed. Fortunately the vaccine ...
One hope, however:
The drugs, called REGN-EB3 and mAb114, work by attacking the Ebola virus with antibodies, neutralizing its impact on human cells.
The US National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), which co-sponsored the trial, said the results are "very good news" for the fight against Ebola.
These are the "first drugs which, in a scientifically-based study, clearly showed a significant decrease in mortality" in Ebola patients, said Dr Anthony Fauci, director of NIAID.
REGN-EB3 and mAb114 were developed from antibodies taken from Ebola survivors.
The disease that has already hit the Democratic Republic of Congo before, has made more than 1.800 people during the last resurgence in progress.
Two other treatments, called ZMapp and Remdesivir, were removed from the trials because they were less effective.

But also:
The feeling that Ebola is incurable, coupled with widespread mistrust of medical staff in the DRC, has hindered efforts to stem the spread of the disease.

It is hoped that the effectiveness of the drugs, made by drug companies based in the United States, will allow patients to feel "more comfortable seeking treatment quickly," said Dr Fauci.

But the best way to end the epidemic, he added, is "with a good vaccine," the safest way to fight disease as a preventive measure.

The World Health Organization (WHO) says vaccines developed to protect against the Ebola virus, which are authorized for "compassionate use" before official approval, have been shown to be very effective.

Contraindications

The vaccination with rVSV-ZEBOV should not be carried out in the following cases:

known hypersensitivity to any of the components of the vaccine;
history of hypersensitivity following previous administration of this vaccine;
pregnant or lactating woman;
Severe acute febrile illness (high fever), vaccination should be postponed.

https://www.mesvaccins.net/web/vaccines ... rvsv-zebov

It is easy to realize that the well-being of populations is a secondary factor:
In October 2018, an ad hoc committee was commissioned by WHO to make recommendations on clinical trials of "compassionate" treatments for Ebola. Of the experts asked for, four had been considered to be in a "conflict of interest". Among them, professors Jean-Jacques Muyembe-Tamfum and Sabue Mulangu of the National Institute for Biomedical Research, "listed as inventors" of the use of mAb114 in the treatment of Ebola. The WHO notes, however, that the US government remains "the owner of this invention" and the two Congolese researchers "did not receive any money and, given the low commercial value of the products obtained (limited to use during epidemics of Ebola Zaire), they consider unlikely that they receive any income as inventors in the future.

I postponed this last intervention on the subject of vaccinations, more appropriate, but nothing prevents to ignore because it is permafost and diseases (regardless of illusory vaccinations) that this warming can cause .

PS: we must remember that the development of'a vaccine is at least 12 years and it does not work every time and if they are multitudes of pathogens that are released, we are not out of the m ..., sorry hostel! : Cheesy:

Not sure it is pathogenic but ... awakening bacteria after 24 years ... certainly presents some risks to life today because this is only the beginning of a long list ... Am I wrong?

The specimen was discovered in the permafrost after 24 years of stasis, and has resumed breeding!
