Probably closer to seasonal normals than 40°C in France... and just as abnormal as -10°C in Texas in 2021... : Mrgreen:

But the ABCile still confuses warming and climate change...

Have you ever thought about suicide? : Lol: : Lol: : Lol: : Lol:

Hold ABCile as you don't understand others will explain it to you...

A "heat feather" will fall on France, a sign of climate change

(...)

This is a new sign of climate change. While in mid-May, extreme temperatures for the season were recorded in France, a new wave of heat is sweeping across France. Temperatures of between 35 and 38°C are expected in the southern half, in a context of drought which poses a significant risk to crops. This episode, linked to a localized depression between the Azores and Madeira which favors warm air rising over Western Europe, should arrive from the evening of June 14 in the extreme south of the country, before spreading on June 15 June to the entire southern half, until the weekend, according to Météo-France, which notes uncertainty concerning the northern half.

This strong heat over several days, from mid-June, is "extremely early", Frédéric Nathan, forecaster at Météo-France, told AFP. The mercury has already risen very high in June in the past, in particular during one of the heat waves of 2019 with an absolute record for metropolitan France of 46°C in Vérargues (Hérault), but it was at the very end of the month. “The very probable heat wave in France would begin on June 15 and would be the earliest ever observed”, adds forecasting engineer at Météo-France Gaétan Heymes, interviewed by Novethic.

The heat feather, "a trickle of hot air"

For climatologist Christophe Cassou, this episode is similar to a "heat feather", a little-known notion that the CNRS research director explains on Twitter: "This heat wave is not a heat dome, but a plume of heat, a plume, a tentacle coming from the south. It's an adjective heat wave (transport of hot, dry air by the southerly winds), at least for the start of the episode." The expert adds: "Unlike a rather static heat dome, here everything is very dynamic".

This notion, which is not an academic term, refers to the idea of a "net of hot air". Unlike the heat dome which is a cover of air which warms up little by little", explains Gaëtan Heymes. The forecasts are currently uncertain as to the next few days, the heat plume could turn into a heat dome.

"Denial of gravity is no longer an option"

A marker of climate change, heat waves have multiplied by 3 or even 4 since the 90s. Of the 43 heat waves detected since 1947, 9 took place before 1989, the rest between 1989 and 2020. However, according to experts, even in an optimistic scenario of a major reduction in emissions, the number of days of heat waves or heat waves should double by the end of the century in France.

“The denial of gravity is no longer an option. Not being up to it is irresponsible today,” commented on Twitter the climatologist Christophe Cassou. It should also be remembered that France is heading towards a historic drought. After an already very dry winter, one of the three hottest springs in history, the approaching summer promises to be hot and dry, according to new forecasts from Météo-France, forcing departments to put in place travel restrictions. use of water.

oh yes, 37 billion over 5 years, that's an average of 7 billion per year, or 100 € per French person and per year on average, anyway : Shock: ...

and remove the fossils, how much do you estimate that?

take the time to reflect on this graph:

so you're worried about the consequences of the vaccines, but not about the consequences of removing the fossils?

good on the second point, at least you are "mainstream" ... alas! Too bad you only agree with the "official" majority (and Izzy) on the point where they completely fail.

Hello,

I think this document has its place here, it's clear and concise, and we see things in another way on the global warming side (unfortunately not better whatever... It depends on practices).

Except that's not what we're talking about at all...!!!

So you admit there that it is indeed the fossils at the origin of global warming? : Mrgreen:
