What alternative solutions?

New renewable energies which, in spite of aid and subsidies, still only account for less than 2% of our energy? (About 80% of our energy is supplied by fossil fuels.)

Nuclear power, which many do not want?

Otherwise what ?

And then, do we have time in front of us? While 5 billion poor or emerging Earthlings are growing in number and purchasing power, and therefore in consumption.
Global energy consumption is increasing.
The consumption of fossil fuels is increasing, despite new renewable energies.

while he multiply the number of nuclear power plants by 50 to solve the problem.

To solve the problem of the hyper nuisance of the human species certainly ..... It is worthy of a speech of great supporter of the nuclear apocalypse : Shock: : roll:

What is the message conveyed by this document?
Let's continue like this and everyone will be okay?

Like this American "type" who would live better than "Bernadette" because she consumes 19 times more oil?

They could also have shown the photo of a young obese ...

The message seems to me to be that the real problems and the real solutions are very different than those that the media serve over and over and that the public believes (essentially that they are NOT due to RC but to the anthropogenic influence on natural environments. and that replacing fossils with biomass or diluted energies like solar and wind would only make them worse)
Effectively fighting against the abuse of sugar in modern food would have a much stronger impact than fighting against CO2, but Greta just has to take the good fight then.

No, she wouldn't have lived long enough to be, with the mental handicap she presents ... Her mother would most likely have abandoned her to natural selection ...

For the real problems we agree, but what do you think the real solutions are?
Continue with the fossils until the end?
RC is only one facet of the problem, and its media coverage has the advantage of starting to make people aware that there is a problem ...

We can continue to accelerate facing the wall, by changing the engine (infinite growth!), Or try to slow down ...

Alas no. Because there is not a problem, there are problems.
Global warming.
But also the depletion of resources.

For global warming, nuclear power is the best answer; new renewable energies are no match for replacing fossil fuels; you have to choose between RC and nuclear.
(Nuclear is one of the least dangerous energies; between 1971 and 2009, more than two million lives were saved by nuclear energy.)

In addition, resources are running out. Fresh water, agricultural land, the oceans which are depopulating, the mines which are emptying.
The Amazon forest is disappearing. For the pleasure of cutting down trees? No, because we lack land, and tomorrow our will lack even more to feed two billion more Earthlings. This is why the Amazon is disappearing.
Unless the rich (us, in the developed world) consume less; alas, it is probably a utopia.
In addition, emerging countries should be content to emerge, without then wallowing in unnecessary consumption like the rich (us) do. Alas, this too is probably a utopia.

If we do not manage to stop the RC, there will be no more living soul:

So here is the very pessimistic vision of a pro nuclear who recognizes that nuclear power is not the solution.
