The relatively mild winters observed in Europe in recent years would be a consequence of pollution reduction measures:

We quickly blamed greenhouse gases on the increasingly mild winters in Europe. In reality, the cause of the disappearance of cold waves, snow and blizzard is largely linked to ... pollution efforts. The decrease in the quantity of aerosols results in a radiative forcing, which itself generates other climatic phenomena in cascade. Explanations.

The reduction in aerosols, the main factor in winter warming

In fact, snow has been scarce for Christmas in France and throughout the rest of Europe for several years. The most obvious culprit: global warming due to CO2 emissions. Well, no: it would rather be the fault ... of strengthening regulations on air pollution, attests a new study published in the journal Nature Climate Change on February 3. "With regard to the winter climate, aerosols have an even greater impact than greenhouse gases on global warming," attests Jonathan Jiang, researcher at CalTech and co-author of the article. The researchers analyzed the frequency and intensity of cold episodes in Europe and Russia over the period 1970-2005 and revealed "the undeniable signature" of the reduction in aerosols on the rarefaction of cold winters.
23% of global warming attributed to falling particles

Atmospheric aerosols, mainly from urbanization and industrialization, constitute the second factor of climate change in the Earth's system after greenhouse gases. By reflecting and absorbing sunlight, particles of soot, sulphates or other compounds help to lower temperatures locally and modify the earth's radiation balance. A phenomenon called "lightening" and which exerts a radiative cooling of approximately -0,8 W / m2 at the global level according to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). However, in Europe, aerosol emissions, especially that of sulphated aerosols, have greatly decreased thanks to policies to reduce pollution. According to a 2014 study by the French National Meteorological Research Center, the lightening explains 23% of the increase in surface temperature in Europe between 1980 and 2012, "contributing significantly to regional climate warming".

This confirms the effectiveness of sulfur dioxide in its role of increasing albedo, with anti-pollution measures there is an opposite effect to that sought by geo-engineering.

This is proof that the emissions of entropic particles artificially lowered the temperature and this shows vividly that warming is virtually much more important than what is measured. Strongly volcanic cascade eruptions (or a nuclear winter) that we can ski everywhere!
We are not going to cry about the decrease in sulfated aerosols and their acid rain!
Ps: Good idea, let's throw non-dangerous dust in the stratosphere to cool the planet, we can continue to pollute who better.

The period 1970-2005 is ancient history and that contradicts the IPCC which is not based on just one study ?? https://www.climat.be/fr-be/changements ... t-tempetes

In fact we have known for a long time, it had already been noted in 2014 (continuation of the futura article), so the IPCC certainly takes this into account in its forecasts.

Geoengineering: initial funding to cool the planet

An artificial cooling of the planet to fight against global warming is an alternative taken more and more seriously. This discipline, geoengineering, for the first time received government money in the United States.

Australia ravaged by fires, Antarctica which is seeing its glaciers melt ... At a time when global warming is constantly increasing, geo-engineering is an alternative that is gaining speed.

China wants to bring artificial rain and snow to half the country by 2025

Business Insider 04/12/2020

China is massively expanding its weather control project, and aims to be able to drop artificial rain and snow in half the country by 2025, the Chinese government said on Tuesday (November 2nd). The technique of "cloud seeding" was discovered in the United States in 1946 by a chemist working for General Electric. China started its own similar program in the 1960s.

The techno and the energy it uses would pollute and cause global warming, so to fight it, guess what? Well let's use tech, throw some junk in the air, and their filtering effect will reduce solar radiation on earth! You just had to think about it, and Bill Gates promotes it.
What a joke! Environmentalists will end up becoming technophile scientists taking the precautionary principle as a doormat. It is gratifying ...

I like the way RTBF announces it:
"No, Bill Gates is not going to send dust into the atmosphere to counter global warming"announces the title.

Then the rest of the article tells us the opposite:
"Bill Gates is only funding research, analysis, not practice."

Ah? Are we funding research into processes that we will surely not want to put into practice ?! Tasty of hypocrisy! : Lol:

"if the scientists were approved to test their theory, they would in fact send only 2 kg of dust (non-toxic!) from a weather balloon nearly 20 km above the ground, above the Arctic."

Ah anyway a little practice, just to be able to demonstrate that it will take much more than 2 kg in the real project.

Everyone is an environmentalist today. It is the fashion and the moral of the time, a conditioning. Before, the moral was the priests. Today they are the climate preachers and other gurus of pollution-esque catastrophism. Bill Gates improvised as a clean air cardinal.

Yes, even the biggest climate-skeptic polluters, we know ... come on ... it's time ... you're hurting yourself and you're going to have trouble falling asleep again. : Mrgreen:
