ABC writing:
When these "anecdotal" cases concern the most prominent personalities, and who most embody the values of protecting the planet for the general public, we can still assume * that it actually concerns many more people, and therefore that it is in no way "anecdotal", but on the contrary constitutive of everyone ...

Obviously abusive inference, since the "most prominent personalities" are so precisely because, out of mimetic desire, they eagerly seek social recognition far above the average, both material and symbolic.
As for the spectacular incarnation of the values of protecting the planet (sic!), We can rightly understand that these are only derivative processes to neutralize public opinion and secretly operate a manipulative catharsis.

surely, and "average" people have only "average" aspirations: except that it is this average which precisely represents the "average" consumption of humanity (and I remind you that the "average" consumption of humanity is not that extraordinary, it corresponds to the poverty line in France, so it is considered below the normal standard of living for most French people).

Not convinced that N. Hulot make the admiration of the whole of Humanity: error of scale?

A nice little drawing that sums up Geoengineering:

I don't know where the authors got it that aerosols and albedo "increase the IR flux leaving the Earth". As they increase the albedo, they decrease the near-IR optical flux reaching the ground, so on the contrary, they also decrease the IR flux (at least that of long thermal wavelength).

This increases the albedo before the IR hits DC ground…

Didn't understand what the thing on the far left is though???

it's not clear then. Normally the ground absorbs part of the radiation of "short wavelength" (Short Wavelength radiation or SWR), i.e. sunlight and the near IR (micron), and returns the other part by the albedo. The absorbed part is transformed into heat which will be re-emitted into space in the form of "long wavelength) (LWR) or Thermal IR at 10 microns. GHGs absorb part of this LWR radiation and send it back to the ground, which increases its temperature, until the balance is finally balanced again. At equilibrium the incident flux is exactly balanced by the reflected SWR (the albedo) and the LWRs.

If the albedo is increased, the reflected SWR increases, but suddenly the absorbed SWR decreases, and the LWR also decreases; so the reflected solar IR will certainly increase, but the thermal IR emitted by the Earth decreases, which is normal since it cools it (and the total must remain constant). On the drawing we still have the impression that "IR" is the long wavelength thermal IR (LWR), and that will decrease if we increase the albedo.

pas du tout.

But if you want to make radiative and energy balances other than by Gillesque dialectics, you can spread your intelligence.
