Air France and Renault Nissan "Friends of the climate"!

Fabulous for the main CO2 emitters! : Mrgreen:

Ah yes sorry, there are some electric vehicles here and there on the tarmac ...

Ah, but they are only small polluters ...

According to experts, banks are far more important polluters than car manufacturers.
Crédit Agricole is reputed to be one of the worst with investments in the most polluting and CO2 emitting industries.

French banks have a reputation as the least ethical banks in the world (investment in shale gas, the oil sands, dams that displace populations, arms sales, ...).

They often invest in projects that German banks refuse for these reasons, on which they are rated ...

banks primarily finance sectors that offer good financial profitability.

But do not confuse: it is industries that generate pollution, not financiers ...

so things are decided on the legislation: if we want cleaner investments, we need a regulatory context which penalizes dirty energies and activities sufficiently.

Paris climate conference maintained

LeFigaro Nov 14, 2014 13:18 p.m.

There is no question of calling into question the holding in Paris of the climate conference scheduled for November 30 to December 11, but security will be reinforced following the attacks that killed more than 120 people on Friday in France, said a French diplomatic source. Asked if these attacks could result in a postponement, a relocation or a cancellation of the COP21, this high-placed source replied: "It is not under consideration." But "the level of security will be further strengthened," she said.

Some 118 heads of state and government are expected at Le Bourget, near Paris, on November 30, to kick off this conference considered to be one of the last chances to reach a universal agreement on the reduction of greenhouse gas. Also expected are 20.000 to 40.000 people from 195 participating countries. Even before the Paris attacks, the French government reinstated border controls on Friday for a month.

Good news but I am not sure that the demonstrations are they ... maintained ... under cover of security of course.

It was one of my main motivations to go there!

It will be good for the participants that there are no demonstrations.

What better argument than safety cover to muzzle disputes.

A French "patriot act". :?:

COP21: 138 heads of state and government scheduled to date at the Paris Climate Conference

November 20 2015

The Paris Climate Conference (COP21) will bring together 138 heads of state and government when it opens on November 30, the Elysée announced on Friday. Hello
I preferred France 5 "climate a few degrees cooler" where green business was considered the economic system of the future, considering, economically only, the construction of nuclear power stations as archaic, dinosaurian concepts.
