they themselves give on their site the reasons for certain "bugs":

Abnormal propagation
In certain atmospheric conditions, the radar beam follows a trajectory whose curvature is greater than the curvature of the Earth. As a result, the beam hits the Earth at a distance. The Earth returns an echo that appears on the radar images as a zone of precipitation. These cases of abnormal propagation generally occur in anticyclonic situations including temperature inversions.

That's exactly what seems to have happened!

Well, I think we went around the question!

Thanks to the participants :) 8)

AH, thanks for this information :D

by what is the radar beam deflected? the water molecules?

Hey Maloche you read what is noted?

These cases of abnormal propagation occur generally in anticyclonic situations including temperature inversions.

Inversion of T ° this should talk to you for a few months right? : Cheesy: 8)

(but it's true that less sensitive in engine flight than in paragliding ...)

A page very didactic about the propagation of waves in the atmosphere.

Super page, thank you Gaston!

We were obviously in this case:

If the inversion is marked, the beam can even hit the Earth which will give strong radar echoes. These ground echoes will increase in extent as the temperature decreases during the night and decrease in the morning with warming. They will be very noisy, varying in intensity with time and position.

Today, it's not a bug ...
