That's what I used to think too...

But that is precisely what ultimately seems difficult to me.

I am not a specialist, but the border (limit between fresh and salt water) is not so obvious!

To live along the Loire (a few tens of kilometers from the mouth), I know that the salinity fluctuates according to the tides and also according to the level of the Loire (or rather its flow... Finally... That's what I think I know...
