At this time, the surface of the basin will slow down the filling of the water tables, but the water pumped will no longer be pumped by the "other".
I do not understand your question ?
Given that on average the reserves are 10 m high, their surface area is tiny compared to the concrete and asphalt surface of the department, so it has no weight in the balance. https://www.vendee-eau.fr/letat-de-la-ressource/

It’s still preferable to summer pumping, right?

This was done and further proven by François Arnoux above : Arrowu:
in the specific case of the Deux-Sèvres project, the replacement reserves have "a negligible impact" on groundwater and the flow of watercourses, according to a BRGM evaluation of the construction project in Deux-Sèvres published in July 2022. According to the report, the project would allow "an overall improvement in the level of water tables in spring-summer" and an increase in the flow of watercourses (+5% to +6%).

We need to stop making this study say what it doesn't say...

Thugs, "bogus studies" (the more you pump, the more water there is... magic!) and illegal takings of interest:

[The administrative court of Poitiers suspends the Priaires mega-basin permit: TA Poitiers, APIEEE Association, n°2302662, order of October 30, 2023]

Publication published: November 1, 2023

Authorization had been issued to the Deux-Sèvres Water Cooperative Society for the construction of a 167 m662 water reservoir. The association for the protection of information and studies of water and its environment (APIEEE) filed an appeal at the beginning of October due to a conflict of interest. Indeed, the mayor of the municipality which granted the permit would also be one of the beneficiaries of the said project.

By an order of October 30, 2023, the administrative court of Poitiers suspended in summary proceedings the development permit issued by the mayor of the commune of Val-du-Mignon for the construction of the Priaires water reservoir. The court specifies that “the execution of the decree is suspended, until a ruling on the legality of this decision is made” because “the mayor will be a direct beneficiary, in his capacity as manager of the Agricultural Group of "joint operation (GAEC) of Eole, of a significant part of the water reserves to be stored in the reservoir in dispute located near its operation". (Priaires Basin: planning permit suspended for conflict of interest (lepoint.fr)

Thus, Coop de l'eau 79 is temporarily suspending the work and will resume it as soon as the procedure is regularized.

A legal defect which postpones a little without prohibiting the execution of this public utility project.

Always the same pipotage when talking about the flow of rivers and rivers, while these basins are not intended to be filled with this water.
If it was planned for them to be filled with river water during floods, there would not be as much opposition (or at all)

People don't imagine the enormous cost of pulling a 10 km pipeline to reach the nearest river, whereas drilling about ten meters is much simpler and amounts to the same thing if the pumping rules are followed. .
Maybe they think food comes by magic wand...

You condone brainless sabotage
