(yes I agree)Nice editing anyway.
The advantage of cans is the small thickness of the metal; therefore quick reaction in case of sunshine.
But I think that if you want to do something clean and cheap will have to tinker a little, so without knowledge in electricity / electronics it will be a little harder but there are good advisers here, we can surely help you put that into practice.
The electrical installation is quite simple, it is an opportunity to learn.
(maybe)By cons in my opinion it would be good to know the airflow of the fan PC you have.
PS the thermostat that I propose in photo is super adapted, moreover, it does not need electric power; there is a probe, which acts on a contact; just that.

All the cans are pierced at the bottom and at the top.
At some, I pierced the bottom in 4 triangles that I more or less oriented like strips in order to the air turbulence.
I made a wooden case. In the background, 1 layer of 6MM depron,
then a layer of thin 11-sheet insulation, then the cans glued together. To try to optimize and make it look nicer, I put a 1m X 0.30 aluminum plate at the top of the box, over the cans. (this to try to concentrate the heat above).
A layer of heat resistant black paint (motorcycle department)
An air inlet hole in the lower right and a hot air outlet hole in the upper left.
I really followed what I found on the net cansolair, solar cans, solar heater air, solar window heater on my Google searches.
Then a cathedral type styroglass (because it was the cheapest in store - otherwise a transparent plexy would be better). But I didn't want my neighbors or friends to see "ugly" cans on my roof. The illusion is perfect with a real thermal sensor.
Finally, I installed 4 angles to maintain the styroglass and prevent water from entering in case of rain.
I wanted aluminum angles, to "sharpen" the illusion of a real solar panel but given the cost, I turned to plastics.
I stained the wood 4 layers and I will paint over it (except the plexy) in matt black (to accumulate more heat) and to "make" these 4 white plastic angles.

I built myself a solar thermal sensor based on cans. He walks properly. Yesterday on a mausade day (normandie), gray with qq cleared, I got a peak of exit 68 ° against env 19 ° in entry.
Now, I want to propel this hot air in a pipe at home. I am looking for the simplest way:
I also thought of a fan that fires itself if a temperature threshold is reached. While searching the net, I found this:
http://www.futureshop.ca/multimedia/pro ... 071398.gif
it is a double window fan with integrated thermostat and fills of the reversible happiness.
Unfortunately, I only find it on Canadian or US sites that do not sell in France !!
Does any of you know of a similar system or store that sells this product?
Thank you
Thibault
Stop it all!
1. when the sun is out, the hot air rises on its own
2. when there is no sun the cold air does not rise on its own
3.to allow air to enter the room,
the temperature should be higher than that of the room
There is nothing to do and it is automatic!
and without energy!
you simply install a non-return valve in case
the room temperature is lower than the outside temperature
What if it's too hot?
you ventilate by opening the window!

This is the principle of tromble walls.
The problem, in this case, if I understood correctly, its sensor is placed on the roof.
Without fan, I can't see the heat going down in the bottom of the house this is the catch

Hi tibofo
The color black only absorbs the energy of visible light,
Metal will reverberate infrared,
which makes about 1/3 of the total energy
I propose the cone,
facing the sun, all the energy goes into a cone
without resorting to it by reflection,
99% guaranteed catch

Right, my problem is that the heat will come from my ceiling. So I would like to boost it to get back !!
