Calculate the volume of the expansion vessel

by Christophe » 03/10/07, 15:50

With my boiler assembly in progress ( heating-insulation/installation-assembly-boiler-or-wood-boiler-stove-t3494.html ) I need to determine the volume of the expansion tank required.

Here is a complete calculation method: http://www.thermexcel.com/french/ressourc/expansion.htm

A quick approximation gives: Volume of the vessel = 1/10 of the total volume of the circuit - with all the necessary safety.
