It's very old, but no, it's not a fossilized mammoth ball, but it comes close!
(it's not a cromagnon ball either, but it still comes close ...)

Another riddle, more technical: what is this tool and its use?
To specify the scale, the tube is 42 mm in diameter ...

At the time when we still started the cars in the crank, we used something like that to turn the crankshaft by the wolf teeth to stall the ignition ....

Grelinette, would it not be a coprolith?

Flytox, it has absolutely nothing to do with the automotive sector! You are very far from the count; it is also a recent tool invented by an American and which I duplicated for my personal use (I did not know if it sold in France, but ultimately, if!).

The Royal Asturian Mines Company is a zinc producing company founded on May 16, 1853 is established in Brussels, before the notary Florencio Felix Victor Bourdin, the company Société pour la production du zinc en Espagne, avec la presence de Felipe Riera, Marqués de Casa Riera, Adolphe Lesoinne, J. Jules Maximilien Van der Heyden in Hauzeur and Jonathan-Raphaël Bischoffsheim. In addition to these people, are also partners in the new company Joaquin Maria Ferrer (represented by Philippe Riera), the heirs of Nicolas-Maximilien Lesoinne (represented by Adolphe) and the Zabala brothers, the owners of the forges in Tolosa (Guipúzcoa) ( represented by Jules Hauzeur).

The purpose of the company was the extraction of coal in the price of Asturian coal, the extraction of zinc and lead in the Guipuzcoa concessions, and the processing of these minerals, for a period of 90 years.

The company participated in the creation of the first zinc cartel in 18851, which had halted five years of production expansion in Spanish zinc mines2.

A caliber of zinc stuff? It is a chromed steel sheet, and the numbers are dimensions in mm.

This tool is a flint cutting tool! I think it's called a "Pilon".
It dates from the Paleolithic, so it is at least 10000 years old, maybe much more, the Paleolithic is very long (especially at the end!).
It is made in a very hard stone, and by tapping with the point, the round part being well wedged in the apple of the hand, prehistoric men blew shards to a flint to make it sharp or cutting according to the tool or the weapon to make.

It's a big key! : Cheesy:
The curved part seems to be a hook.
Perhaps this tool is fixed in a support behind a vehicle to hang a traction cable? ...

Or a winder: to the short curved part we attach a rope, and the other is used to turn and wind the rope.
