Motorbike passion: the bikers of forum

I see that there are more and more bikers on econology (which at first surprised me a lot but reassured later ...)

Being myself a biker (I specify that I have never had a car in my name), I am launching this post to make a "listing" of the bikers frequenting econologie.com with a view to a possible meeting in real life ..

For my part here is my experience biker:

0) Full of mob to hack, the last one: a Group2 road that was ... 8 L / 100 ... and yes I was young and stupid! The important thing is to recognize his wrongs? : Oops:
1) 1ere motorcycle: Diversion 600, 30 000 km between 2000 and 2004
2) 2nd motorcycle: VFR 750 from 1994: 20 since 000 (and I intend to keep it until "its" 2004 years old! See photo below which dates from 20 when it was 2004 km and 33 years old (some days after purchase), it now has 000:

Image

I took a VFR (that I paid the price of a basic new motorcycle for a motorcycle 10 years) for the following reasons:

- reliability (which connoisseurs will recognize),
- sobriety (I do 5.5 L / 100 max, 5.2 min with a potential of 94 cv)
- duality (calm and sober below 7000 rpm and "furious" above). I use the sober part 95% of the time ...

I intend to do more than 150 000 km with (at my current pace is for 2020 :D ) and ride soon with a% bioethanol (the pantone on it is not too much trouble considering the complexity of the V4 engine)!

Here it is up to you, biker econologist friends, to present your bikes with their performances in conso if possible!

It is true that bikers are econologists. We do not get stuck in traffic jams and journey times are reduced compared to the car. It's a beginning of economy !!!
The car is more economical than if we manage to put several people, and when I look at other cars in the morning going to work, a very large majority of people are alone in their car ...
To answer Christophe, I neither have a car in my name. I had the motorcycle license well before the car license. We bought a car in 95 at the birth of our twins. At that time it was 4 children, so motorcycle !!!!!!
In 98 my wife has passed her big cube license, she is now part of the big family of bikers.
Imagine that in 1986 I gave up a scientific baccalaureate to do motorcycle mechanics (the head of my father, a chemical engineer!)
Since 1992, I am mechanic, and you think that, by my trade, I had motorcycles. To make the list could be perceived as pretentious, so I will just tell you that I particularly like the 2 temps (70 and 80 bikes) that I collect. Great the idea of the meeting .................

Exact and more precisely: the average filling rate of cars in France oscillates between 1.3 and 1.6 following the studies ....

babache8 wrote:To answer Christophe, I neither have a car in my name. I had the motorcycle license well before the car license.

This is the GREAT class ... I tried to do the same but I missed my way the 1ere time (and yes ... went too ... slowly respecting the limitation and a truck pushed behind months without respecting the speed limit ...) ... and as I had less than 21 years at the time I would have been bridle 34 cv for 2 years ... so I chose to postpone the deadline to my 21 years + a few days (I got my license 10 August 1999)

babache8 wrote:In 98 my wife has passed her big cube license, she is now part of the big family of bikers.

Christine (it's not my wife yet) has spent his here in Belgium on my Diversion are 6 months ...

So what ? The important thing is to have a job that you like no?

Uh, would not you have a small NSR 400 in your collection or a H2 or a RG Gamma 250? There is SPA francorchamps that is not far from home;)

first motorcycle in 95 it was 350 85XT
then 400XJ from 81
then an 850 TDM from 91 (90000 km)
now an 1200 99 30000 GSX (750 km) and an 79 XNUMX Furnace in renovation.

My little wife a 600 92 104000 ZZR with XNUMXkm.

For conso, I would say quite variable depending on the mood : Mrgreen:

for the car, AX diesel 290000km

here is

: Arrow: babache8: I saw a 500RG gamma for sale on Toulouse ... I say that, I say nothing : Evil: : Cheesy: : Mrgreen:

Pkoi not reasonable? A pantone on engines of this time it is a guaranteed benefit to the level emissions! Good after it is sure that it is more authentic but good ....

The evolution of your bikes is somewhat singular ... spend a 1000 TLR or RSV modern to BM R80 of 1980 ... it's not really common (usually this is not the other way around?)
