Hmm ... I would not do that! Never !

Christophe wrote:Visitors still arrive on the old from the search engines ... so they read (or not) what they found and do not care about the new forum for 95% of them ... For members it will take a few days ...

Uh .... why are you taking such a risk?
Why do not you put the new fo-fo with the address of the old : Shock: : Shock: : Shock:
The address that people are used to !!!!! : Oops:

And you balance the former on the IP occupied by the V-beta until then
Because that address nobody knows it and nobody has anything to do with it ...

You mean you want to force people to go on the new forum ?
Already that attendance is not what it was ...
You want people to fall on a forum Locked..?
Heuh ..... are you serious there?

Yes, but I think you are aware enough to understand that this is a useless risk? (Amha)
Where I did not understand that you want to try to thwart a possible ban Google?

Otherwise, though, I do not see the point.

A risk of a few days ... google has much more lag than that! The interest is to make the transition smoothly!

Chatelot had noticed: interesting to keep the old online, the time that members understand ...
Here's my idea: I can do an automatic redirection when a member is still connected to the old one!

Yes, I do it!

ps: /forums/ was still partially indexed by google ... despite everything I had done to remove!
