hello evribodi!
Unconditional motorcycle (Triumph Tiger 885i for those who know), I wanted to use an alternative energy to gasoline.
I squinted on the electric. But scooters have a ridiculous range at no less ridiculous speeds, preferably downhill with the wind at your back <_
I hitched on diesel bikes (sisi, it exists!):
Enfield? Yeah ... The power is more than limit (9 CV with modified camshafts), and as soon as it rises, must pedal ... No way, I live at the foot of the Vosges.
Other brands are not imported in France:
Diesel for the US Army That would be ideal. 1030 km / h optimum speed, 110 peak, 160L per 2 ( ). No luck, it's still reserved for the army (US and NATO).
The Germans have this:
Diesel Wiesel . It even rolls in vegetable oil!
But it's not approved in France ... Chance ...: angry:
Adapt a Pantone system?
The cameraman thinks that there is not enough room and that the focus would be sharp buy.
In short, my modest mechanical knowledge seems outdated.
So, what is left of the 2 wheels in France?
Alternative energy for a 2 wheels?

In the current state of my knowledge actually, I think it's too complicated to fit a pantone on 2 wheels ... nevertheless a user of this forum just tried

I seem to have read that a biker had GPLisé (: huh:) his becane (750VFF, if I remember correctly) ...
I can't get my hands on it anymore ... <_
I who had made me smile is when he explained the method to make the road book.
All stopping points were near a station where there was LPG (~ 150km).
At the time it was not won in advance

I excite, Patrice:
I live in 50 km from my workplace (can not live closer, Ms. has a residence imposed for his taf).
So going there by bike is not easy. Especially since I have 10 motorway terminals ...
I can take the train, but there is no station in the village where I work.
So, by train, I do:
- 1 / 4 bike to go from home to the train station
- 3 / 4 train to Strasbourg Main Station
- 1 / 2 bike to go from the station to my TAF (and again, pedaling fast!)
The same thing for the return.
When the weather is nice, it's possible. When it rains wherever it snows, it's already less obvious.
Not that it bothers me to be wet, but my superiors appreciate moderately the arrival of a clodo dripping and sweating in the box.
So, it does not limit my possibilities.

Optimists invented airplanes, parachutes pessimistic. George Bernard Shaw.
Thought personal, I understand better why the big bosses invented the golden parachute.

It only pushes the problem away <_
My Tiger consumes 5L to 100. 5.5 L when I'm struggling.
3.9l, it's a lot of fuel, nothing (we say "depleted field" B)). It's not worth it to invest 20.000 FOB balls to save only 1 L / 100.
So be able to go to the pump by changing the mill or filling with homemade gasoline, made with amuur, I would like ...: rolleyes:
That life is cruel with bikers
