Re: phpBB 3.1: setting notifications by e-mail or on the forum

Ok no worries for summaries.

Ah I know that the RSS has fallen a bit into disuse it is a shame because it is above all a ... lazy tool : Mrgreen:

As I am also obliged to follow a certain sports news over the water there is no better coupled with an RSS management software (RSS2Email)

However, it is less important for forums, even if the notifications don't always work 100% as we would like :), it was just for info.

That is to say?

In fact if you receive a notification of a new message on a subject, you will not have another one as long as you do not visit the subject (history of not receiving 30 almost same emails for 30 posted messages ...)

I'm not sure it works at ... 100%
But whatever, it's the same at Forumactive and I never understood why : Mrgreen:

However something I don't understand about this one is why when you use the link of the last posted answer you don't always come across ... the last posted answer

Very often on several occasions you find yourself 3 or 4 pages before the last.

Yes I saw that too but you speak of a link from where? In an email or elsewhere?

Yes mail.

When you are on the home page and you click on the little "last answer" dart, it's perfect.

It is to click, in the notification email, on the link of the last posted response which sends you (but not always) in fact 3 pages back.
I can't understand where it can come from

I had the case in a notification directly on the forums (bell) but in the mails it seemed ok to me.

It is necessary to check the parameter at the end of the link #p ... which indicates the number of the message.

Examples: bistro / phpbb-3-1-tuning-of-notifications-by-email-or-sur-le-forum-t14562.html # p346395

See if it matches with the number that appears in the link of the little icon just before "by nico239" 15 Oct 2018, 22:58 "

a) For the link "here" of your mail bin it sends me to bistro / phpbb-3-1-tuning-of-notifications-by-email-or-sur-le-forum-t14562-10.html # p346410 ie a message posted AFTER sending the email, yes ah this computer as you say ... : Cheesy:

b) For the summaries, wait too much in a hurry, I'm on top of it ... the new email you will receive will be cleaner
