No Janic…breathing is neutral because carbon comes from agriculture but human food production methods are more or less neutral…

Obviously our lifestyles are also more or less dirty…

I did not evoke the human being exclusively but of all the living beings of this earth.
Breathing is a biological function that allows living beings to use their energy reserves through gaseous exchanges with the external environment. Many organisms breathe: bacteria, plants, fungi, animals, etc. Breathing refers to both:

the biochemical process that takes place inside the cell, cellular respiration;
the transfer of gases from outside the body to the cell or vice versa.
