A practice like manipulation or professional trollism will be denounced by environmentalists if it comes from their opponents (which is quite normal), but will not be if it comes from their camp. In this sense they are just as much as those they denounce, shameless cheaters.

At a time when GAFA are rightly criticized for their management of personal data ..... :? :? :? :?

Imo, you just have to punish personal attacks (insults, defamation, ...) by visible moderation of the posts concerned, then ban48h from 3 - 4 recurrences, and finally ban if it continues, for example.

For the rest, everyone has their own opinions.

There is a difference between unknowingly abusing personal data provided more or less voluntarily and voluntarily providing personal data to clean up the net ... But coming from you, the remark does not surprise me! : Cheesy:

The system of threats and temporary or permanent banishment has already been used ...

Perhaps the Nazis would have had better press if Josef Mengele had organized a raffle at Auschwitz: "The 100 winners will get a '(preferential) treatment' in my lab instead of going to the oven." Who knows?

"it is enough just to sanction personal attacks (insults, defamation, ...) by visible moderation of the posts concerned"
I discovered this forum a few months ago, I had read some interesting discussions there.
For some time now, I have only seen piles of insults, and the disappearance of what makes a real discussion, reasoned arguments, and / or sources, and especially the intellectual honesty to respond to objections; I only see insults and kicking in touch.

For the rest, everyone has their own opinions.
Everyone has their opinions, but the facts are binding on everyone - otherwise we are in the order of religions, beliefs, there are houses for that; not chat sites.

For those who are not content with moving images and can read:

Green capitalism uses Greta Thunberg
Our columnist lived for several years in Swedish Lapland and chaired the France-Sweden group of friends in the National Assembly. So it was with a tender gaze that she looked at the story of the young environmental activist Greta Thunberg ...

For about five months, a 16-year-old Swedish girl with autism Asperger's has been in the media spotlight around the world. She goes on “school strike” to be heard and her fight is just. For her it is a question of sending a message to billionaires and political decision-makers, whether at COP24 in Poland or recently in Davos, so that they respect their commitments on the climate. His last speech moved almost all environmental activists on the planet:

I don't want you to be desperate, I want you to panic. I want you to feel the fear that lives in me every day and act as if there is fire, because it is. […] There is still a small chance of stopping greenhouse gas emissions in order to avoid suffering for a large part of the population of the planet. "

Behind these highlights, we find a little Swedish genius of "public relations", Ingmar Rentzhog. The reverse side of the fairy tale is less attractive, but more interesting.

Swedish investigative journalist Andreas Henriksson is the first to investigate this, according to my research, and his article was published on Rebecca Weidmo Uvell's blog on December 11, 2018.

Everything has been finely programmed to transform the young Swedish girl into an international heroine

The beautiful story of Greta Thunberg begins on August 20, 2018. Ingmar Rentzhog co-founder of the start-up We Don't Have Time meets Greta Thunberg in front of the Swedish Parliament and publishes a moving post on his page Facebook. We are the first day of the strike started by Greta. On August 1, an autobiography mixing family and climate crises, Scener ur hjärtat, co-written by Greta's mother Malena Ernman, Svante Thunberg her father, Beata, her sister, and Greta, is released in bookshops. The artist parents - lyric singer and actor - are very well known in Sweden; Greta, not yet.

In fact Ingmar Rentzhog and the family of Greta already know each other and participated together in a conference on the climate on May 4, 2018. Little place at random therefore, in the meeting in Stockholm, on the sidewalk in front of the Parliament between Ingmar and Greta .

Everything has been finely programmed to transform the young Swedish girl into an international heroine, and this, from the first article published in the most read daily in the country, Aftonbladet, just a few hours after the Facebook post from Rentzhog.

We Don't Have Time, the start-up he co-founded in 2016, aims to create a social network of over 100 million members, which will influence politicians and business leaders to that they act more against global warming. This is what appears in any case in their web brochure.

This is where it gets complicated. Among the shareholders of the start-up, we find the members of two interconnected families: the Persson, children of the billionaire Sven Olof Persson, who made a fortune, among others, in the sale of cars (Bilbolaget Nord AB) and the Rentzhog. The two families of investors, who met in the Jämtland region, have no connection with the environment, they are finance specialists.

Save the planet while maintaining economic growth and demanding even more globalization

Ingmar Rentzhog, or how to use Greta Thunberg to promote green growth.
In May 2018, Ingmar Rentzhog was recruited as president and director of the think tank Global Utmaning, promoting sustainable development and declaring himself politically independent. Its founder is none other than Kristina Persson, daughter of the billionaire and former social democratic minister in charge of strategic development and Nordic cooperation between 2014 and 2016. Via the analysis of the think tank's tweets, we can observe a strong political commitment , at the dawn of the European elections, towards an alliance that would go from the Social Democrats to the Swedish right. The enemy being "nationalisms" emerging everywhere in Europe and in the world. Ideas that would not displease our dear President Macron.

On January 16, 2019, Global Utmaning was proud to announce on social media its new collaboration with Global Shapers, a community of young leaders aged 20 to 30 “with great potential to play a role in the future of society and working to improve the situation of the populations around them ”. This network was created from scratch by the Forum world economy in 2011. Its leaders intend to save the planet while maintaining economic growth and calling for more globalization. An entire program.

I summarize. On the one hand, we have a digital platform under construction, We Don't Have Time, which really took off a few months ago thanks to Greta Thunberg, "young advisor" to the foundation running this platform. I forgot to mention in passing that the hundreds of thousands of email addresses collected by Rentzhog are worth gold. And on the other, we have a family of billionaires including a former minister who invests in this start-up, then who hires Ingmar Rentzhog in a think tank developing the themes of green growth, the circular economy, in short, greenwashing.

This greenwashing that allows capitalism to last. Greta Thunberg finds herself advising those she lambasts. As the author of the Cheetah said, "if we want everything to stay as it is, everything has to change" (Guiseppe Tomasi Di Lampedusa).
"

It's an environmentalist who writes this, but since I'm the one quoting the text, it would become intoxicating. lol : Lol: : Lol:
The dregs of the ecologists obviously prefer to be rolled in the flour by the finance and the billionaires manipulating Thunberg rather than to admit the facts concerning them. I hope there are still some with a little critical spirit.

And what are his opponents doing? 1000 times worse with the same tools (it would be silly to do without it) and infinitely greater economic power.
